After 4 years we finally took delivery of our CyberTruck

We preordered our CyberTruck on reveal night, November 21, 2019. Four long years later, January 23, 2024, we took delivery. We are excited to share our experiences with everyone.

Congrats! Hopefully one day Tesla gives it its own unique interior. It deserves it. Is this Riverside? I’ll make sure not to take delivery there after what they did to your truck.

Interior on the CyberTruck is really nice but I know what you mean. They went so out there with the exterior but kind of kept it the same as every other Tesla interior. This was actually Upland. I don’t think the damage came from them. I believe it happened at the factory or in transit. Team in Upland was a pleasure to work with.

I got my Foundation invitation on December 21, and placed my order on Dec 24. It’s Feb 4, and I’m expecting my VIN in the next week or two. I don’t know when delivery will be after that. Do you remember your dates for comparison? I’m also super anxious, of course. But I have a twist. I’m actually in Argentina enjoying summer here, so I have to figure out what I’m going to do about delivery.

Just a question if you dont mind. I also placed my order over 4 years ago on my Cybertruck and I was wondering if while you were waiting if you were getting some updates from Tesla as I never received any updates and the only thing the website says is that I'll be informed on my truck as we get closer to delivery and I'm also wondering that whenever they notify me on how long it will be from there until I get to go and pick it up as will it be the next day or I'll get like a month or two notice. Thanks

Tesla does not send out any updates on your truck. As far as timeline it seems like everyones is different but here is mine. Placed reservation on 11/21/19 Configured on 12/9/23 Received VIN on 1/20/24 Took delivery 1/23/24. I hope that helps

Really wish we could configure the interior color on the FS trucks.. Mine is ready to configure but I cant sell the white interior to my wife 😥

My wife says that she would never get the white seats of other teslas, even though she likes the look she worries about the dogs and kids. But she likes the white accent in the CT. Hasn’t been an issue as of yet. Hope that helps

Yes sure dude. Clearly you don't own a Tesla or you just got it. Ot tbinmig shred. Battery degradets through time. And sure it Tesla would be 15tousend dollars no problem. But with some models being 90tousend or more and knowing that after about 8 years you will need to be charging every 100 miles does not feel so good. Yes sure earanrly is there but try to enforce it. They will find all kinds of reason not to replace it until it is out of warranty when they will replace it of you pay. But try replace the battery while in warranty. Never done happened. You basically had to total the car but then it's totaled anyway. So like.with rest. They give warranty when not needed, and calculated to expire just feels or months before the battery will need replacing. And replacing it will need. It is just a matter of time. But by then they hope to lure you in just buying a brand new model snd go heavy in debt again another 80 or 90 thousend. You never get out on top lol there is a reason why Musk became the reaches person in the world in ssos. Short period of time. A big part is to do with making everyone pay him more then he pays back through all this useless wars ties. I had Tesla and never any issue u til warranty expired. Then like magic all thing start breaking apart within a year. Sun roof repair ridiculous cracked mirror and they wanted 5000$. Front engine mirror starting to turn of "for safety" and wanted another 6000$. You want to just get the seat buckle fixed because you bucked and is worn out sensor so light goes up that you don't wear seatbelt something when you do. Fix that and you out of pocket for another 600$. Just a sensor. Oh and parking sezor. One dies they want to replace the whole harness because they don't do individuals sensors. Had to tocen them to sell me one to switch it out. 200$ sensor only. Looked online same after market is 11$. So didn't even get to battery which held 290miles range when new and now charged only up to 220miles 8 years. Probably for same "safety" reasons again so they can force me slowly buying new battery. And btw the 220 miles range it now charges only (and keeps dropping by their algorithm about 2 miles a month) actually only last 110 real miles. And yes when you charge you pay the full 220miles power which disappears. So you tell me. How concerns about battery are not relevant. It's the single biggest issue. If new batteries would be the price of your tv remote batteries or no more then a thousand or two thousend dollars ok. But with 20thousend dollars for new batteries it's just insane. So you don't really save that much. Sure electricity is less (for now) then Gass, but then the battery kills it. Think about how many miles you can drive with a very economic car like Prius on 20tlusend dollar gas so with Tesla you just pay ahead for the gas with the battery and then again on the end when. You have to buy a new one, or worse which actually happens they convince you to buy a whole new expensive Tesla. You can't get around the money. You will lose it same way one way or the other, and e viroment sounds nice, but think about all pollution caused to mine lithium to make the battery and the factories causing all the pollution to create the batteries. It's all the same. All maters is if to work on your income to have a better life. All this saving or not are just gimmicks to lure you into spending actually more. So buy it it you have money but dont be kidding yourself you will save any money or save the planet. Lol
