I got the V2, I've owned several very high end military type bags as I used to travel and contract for varies government agencies. So I've put bags through the ringer. With that Said. This bags quality blew me away. This is up there with some of my $500+ bags. I was kind of shocked it was so cheap. I realize for some 200 isn't cheap but compared to the gear in used to buying.. this was cheap and better quality than most of the stuff I owned. Deff impressed. Agree 100% daily driver worthy. RR killed it on this one.

Thanks for your observations. I'm prior military and have had/wornout a ton of "go bags" and backpacks. So I appreciate your point of view and comments on the build quality. I had a brand new Oakley "Kitchen Sink" backpack I spent more (than this V2) on literally rip my very first time to grab it as I was literally running for a helicopter ride. So now I'm way more skeptical of new or unknown gear bags/backpacks.

Received my RRBP v2 last week and love it. I wanted a backpack that could hold as much of my gear as possible. I had been using two bags, one for my DJI equipment and the (RDQ Bag) for my FPV gear. I have managed to fit my Mavic 3c, Mini 2, Radiomaster Tx16s, batteries, Gens Ace imars dual charger, and necessary flight peripherals into this bag. Good sir Bardwell is spot on with his analysis here. Could almost fit a mini fridge in this bag. I did end up removing the Rotor Riot patch from the front of the bag. Removing that stitching releases the molle strap where the patch was for additional functionality. Definitely good stuff and I love the blue accent.

The rip and dip pocket with the partial velcro issue.... if they would put 2 feet from the platform/separator to the bottom of the bag it would create support without taking space. Just keep the feet thin and in the two corners of the bag on that side🤜🤜😎💪..... hope they consider that in the future bag

I’ve had the v1 for 8 months and it’s been fantastic. Holds everything and has held up to serious abuse, riding on a Surron off-roading, air travel, riding my off-road skateboards, etc. I was really happy to get this bag and toss my iFlight garbage bag, well into the garbage. The Velcro failed in a matter of a month or so, zippers failing, etc. HUGE disappointment! Great job Rotor Riot on making a fantastic bag. Great coverage on this bag and the v2 JB.

I've had the V1 for almost a year now and it was definitely one of the best investments I've made in flying FPV. Not only is a great on the go but when I'm not messing with my quads it keeps all my gear in one organized place. Have not had any complaints about it, and I actually don't mind the V1 front zipper as you can still just fold it out from the bottom and have the back open simultaneously. The fully enclosed laptop pouch is definitely very nice but I have found that I have so much gear now that I take a separate smaller backpack that just has things like my laptop, phone charger, external SSDs, etc.

One big oversight with allot of FPV backpacks is those who design them assume I don't need food or drink... To me, an FPV backpack is for when I'm walking away from my car to get to a cool site... so room for a drinks bottle and a sandwich would be a good move!

I love it.. just got it with the hardshell lipo bag. The top for my tango 2 is perfecr. I have set the diveders in an angle. That way it hold down the controller. So even if you would hold the bag upside down. It will keep the gimballs perfect. 1 thing I really had to change. Notice how everyone picks a hd zero or analogue goggle for the rip n dip. A goggle v2 is not great in taking in and out the side pocket. At leqst not when vertical tucked away. For me I had to change it up. So now when you open the backpack it is like a square. And I covered it up. It now holds my cinelog25 v1. And beneath the divider foam I have the goggle v2 wich now gets in and out easely via the side pocket. But thats more of a dji thing to make a big ass goggle.

I still use my OG Lowepro Quadguard x3 I bought back in 2019 I think. I've outgrown it but still stuff what I need in it. I don't have room for my Taranis so I carry it separately in the case it came with along with my V2 goggles (also in their case) in a second backpack. It's a hassle but it works. A backpack of this type would consolidate everything. It would be heavy but probably the same weight as both at the end of the day.

I think the v2 is the right backpack for me but there are a few things I don't like about it, like the turquoise and the fact that the interior is all black, it should be a lite color like silver and the last thing is that bottom, i think that it should be a thick rubber
@LetsFlyRC8 ай бұрын
I’ve had light colored interior bags and they always look dirty after time. I wanted Batman’s backpack when I designed it (all black)
@jamesmason71248 ай бұрын
@@LetsFlyRCthe silver color for the interior will allow you to see your gear better, I can live with a black interior but what about that bottom that cheap fake leather doesn't belong on a 200 dollar backpack. 6 months is too fast for the bottom to wear out, I would have specified rubber or at least 1000 denier cordura or ballistic cloth.

@@jamesmason7124 over 500 of these were sold and Joshua is the only one who reported this problem. I have 5 bags, had them for over a year and my bottoms are still perfect. They need a built lipo charger in bag with a metal enclosure. and pre made pouches with usb routing ( USB C A 100w 8x) battery bank for USB (fast), goggles transmitter,laptop etc. Needs very quick access to plug in to charge the backpack bank itself. I would highly consider it then.

It depends on the airline. They're not all the same although you would think there are universal FAA guidelines. Southwest for example will allow screwdriver tools as long as they are under a certain length. I've had no problems going through security. TSA seems to be fascinated with lipos more than anything when I travel with my quads. I should mention this has been for domestic travel. You would need to confirm the regs for international travel.

Great review and the packs look fairly decent. I really like the rip and dips, and the radio placement, BUT I strongly suspect that opening the front panel with the quads on it will be a PITA of you carry more than 2 quads or quads over 5". I suspect the quad's will have to be placed reasonbly carefully to make sure that when you open the front panel to the side the arms/props aren't sticking into the side of the pack. If they are sticking out then opening the front panel to the side will be difficult. This will be exacebrated for people like me who fly 6" or 7". I've just returned from a session today with 2 x 6" and 1 x 7" (and a little Diatone 2.5" inside) Conversly if you are careful you may find you end up with all the quads packed with a bias to the right (as you face the rear of the pack) which may not be great for balance. I am currently using the old Quadgaurd BP2 and on the way home I was thinking about this issue. The idea I came up with is a totally detachable back. I have - or maybe had - I haven't seen it for a while - a military pack where the inside had a semi flexible sheet covered in molle that you can remove from the pack. It just has a pile of velcro all over the back of the removable sheet. The idea was you could cover the internal panels molle with molle pouches and then rip it out to use or to be able to reasily replace it with another preconfigured panel for a different task. You could do the same thing on the outside of the pack, but in addition you have a couple of side release buckles ("fastexes") on each side edge and the top edge - or maybe just he top edge. The idea being that you just unclip the side release buckles and then you can rip the whole panel off quands and all and put it where you want. At the end of the session, you re-attach the panel and then re-attach the quads. With this approach you can still swing the (emovable) back panel to one side or to the top depending on the situation by leaving some of the side release buckles attached if you want.

I had the Iflight bag for 2 years then moved to the v1 version of this bag and I really don't like it. The computer compartment is to small and tight you can't fit the charger in the same compartment and I broke 2 screens in that bag in 6 months. I ran the I flight bag for 2 years with the same computer and never had an issue. There is a little more room but I find that I never use the quick access I just open it up. The side pocket is also way to tight to put anything in if you put a gopro or anything thicker than a credit card it is a pain to zip it closed and everything gets crushed. I put 3 sets of props in that pocket and they all came out bent. Honestly I think I'm going to buy another iflight bag when I can afford it.
