Unused footage shot from our apartment on Frederick Avenue/Kent Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn showing dust and smoke rising into the air rom the Lower Manhattan debris pile after the destruction of the Twin Towers, Building 7, and other buildings on the WTC site.
Recorded in October, 2001 in NTSC Standard Definition (720x480i) using a Sony video camera with a single ⅓" CCD made up of 410,000 pixels. The Sony DCR-VX1000 utilized three CCD's instead of just one to allow for independent capture of the red, green, and blue color channels.
The b-roll footage has been upscaled from 480i to 1080p and cleaned-up using Topaz Video AI software. It was assembled in Final Cut Pro where a quick grade was also applied.
More clips to come over the next few weeks.
