I currently have amnesia, it's really nice to know you can one day get your memories back. I didn’t even think that was physically possible.

I was physically assaulted over 20 years ago, I don't remember it happening other than brief flashes. Like Jing I woke up in a hospital bed and that is my first memories of who I am right now, all other memories are gone other than little snippets that come and go, but they seem like they belong to someone else. Sadly I have struggled with school ever since, and when I did finally complete college (twice as long as it should have taken) I'm finding I've lost most of it. After 20 years of being told I was faking it and not being able to get anywhere academically, I was finally diagnosed with amnestic and cognitive disorders. I was also told that since I have not shown any sign of significant recovery since, then it may never improve.

Hi try saying the alphabet backwards to trick the normal pattern of brain activity and also try to be alone with your own energy so it's not being pulled to other people's energy. This way you have total concentration when thinking about how to say the letters backwards. Also don't write and read them it uses an extra sense. I also have had a lot of memories gone and now they are coming back. Pay attention also to what resonates with you on tv and music books costumes etc. We are all a plant together so the mind of the plant is always channeling signs for us to remember things from this experience as well as other life. I am also Reiki Master so I will send you a bolt of healing energy remotely to heal. Namaste ♐😘

My husband was just in a bus accident in Mexico a month ago. He woke after 2 weeks with no memory. I haven’t even seen him as I am unable to go. His family is caring for him. He does remember pretty much everyone though. He just lives in a different eta of time. We use to live in Alaska and moved about 5 years ago. He thinks we are still in Alaska. He also calls me his sister sometimes. The hardest part is he has kidney failure and on dialysis and doesn’t remember. Life can just change in the blink of a eye.

I've had the same thing happen to me... I don't remember much cept riding my bike down a cobble stone street to get my father a bucket of beer... Next thing I know I wake up in someone else's body... Had to relearn who my whole family was... Had to literally step into this guy's shoes. Go to his job. "Date" his girlfriend. Like the only reason I left the hospital with these random people was cuz they had photos of the guy( whose body I am now residing in) growing up... Talk about fear dude I have never experienced fear like that. To lose your secured sense of certainty for anything let alone self identity is true fear...

For those of you who are wishing to forget who you are remember that life is a journey of our events in our past and you don’t want to forget who you are I speak from experience. I suffered from retrograde amnesia and had trouble remembering the people I love and the things that I should do and lost ability to connect with the people around me what she says is true those memories are behind the curtain and when you hear something that brings that memory forward you relive it again whether it’s good or bad. I wish that I could remember my memories good or bad from the beginning so that I could grow and wouldn’t need to start all the way over again. I wouldn’t feel so lost and incomplete on my journey.

Did you forget all your memories?
@ricksanchezcc-1736 Жыл бұрын
@@omarali-tv7zi I lost over fourteen year, some of my childhood. I am remembering more of my life my childhood every day I still have not regain my ability to speak or understand other languages fully. The worst part is forgetting the people you love. Forgetting to love yourself. It is a long road of recovery and I hope to make it. Each day is a little better.

@@ricksanchezcc-1736 thanks for your reply and I am sorry for what happened with you...be strong and I am sure you will overcome it... there is a wisdom behind everything takes place in this universe and only God knows. So just be patient...Anyway, just wondering if it was an amnesia due to physical reason or was it a dissociative amnesia? Thanks

Unfortunately it all comes back, I had a nearly fatal car accident and the same issue and it was nice for a month and a half, until everything started coming back all because I questioned why things felt weird. It kinda hits you like a brick but more memories stay gone forever until someone describes in detail what happened.
@ricksanchezcc-17362 жыл бұрын
This is nothing that you want you must relive your memories good and bad does matter how painful it can just be the most random times sometimes if it’s hard to even go to work you hear a song to me remind you of an event that you forgot it’s hidden behind that curtain and then it just doesn’t go away.

It's like you died and a new soul takes place and fills the void that once was yours.
@rainrichards80682 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's a new soul...soul never has memories in the first place, mind is what has all sorts of memories, and when mind/brain is broken, it can lose memory but soul is still there, ever fresh

Brain surgery can also cause amnesia depending on where its done. The worst part is waking up with a monster headache. And of course seeing people around you having no clue who they are.

This is such an interesting and tragic condition. I am writing a story about a character with retrograde amnesia. If anyone with the illness or knowledgeable about it has any tips, please let me know!
@samanthariley88162 жыл бұрын
So one tip is(this depends from person to person) that they won't remember anything, literally anything unless they're told in lots of detail about something that happened in the past. For me that's what I had, but there are some people who have it much more than I did and they won't remember anything at all. Memories hit you out of the blue like a brick and then it stays unless you choose to let go of those memories by forgetting them altogether. Sometimes you'll even forget things in the recent past like if you planned an event two months into the future.

People coming here commenting they wish they had amnesia need to back off. Large majority of people who watch these videos have amnesia themselves. I looked at pictures from my past life today for the first time in years. I couldn’t handle it. I forgot what my partners face looked like years ago, I will forget every precious day I will ever have with him. One day I’ll forget the face he has now as well. I’m terrified 24/7
