The battle was really interesting, and I'm very happy to see an after report, as it is always nice to learn what the thought process was for the units selection, battle plan, battlefield adaptation, etc... It was a good AAR, and shows that you guys are still learning while playing the game. That is to be commended. I would not necessarily say that the Marauder II did much, after it got punched in the nose with the first round of combat and suffering that FCS critical, except for soak damage. It seemed like the ending was a combination of a technicality, and a small modicum of a throw. I do understand that Thom did not want to have the Jenner pull a Zoidberg and exit out of sight once the points threshold was reached. Still waiting for Thom to put up a cackle happy Malthus background for when he does AAR, HPG, and Jump Point calls! Or to show up with the Enhanced Imaging themed face paint for BatReps, Legion of Doom style! I will continue to make the request until it happens, and becomes routine! Or I croak, if that happens first. 😁 The DFAW 'Mech backgrounds that I see(such as the Rifleman, Marauder, Thunderbolt)...Will they ever become an item for purchase on the webstore? Or is that a similar situation to the Warhammer 'Mech line-art clothing that Thom has worn on occasion? You may want to update your video description info in the near future, as polygonmasterworks.com no longer works as a website, and the gentleman no longer sells prints(such as the faction bases, custom base plates, and miniatures) anymore. His patreon still works though!

@@DeathfromAboveWargaming Yeah, the PWM part really saddens me, as I wanted to make a bunch of purchases, to load up on a ton of the faction hex bases that you introduced me to with your Battle Reports, as well as custom hex plates for naming certain 'Mechs(in a fashion just like Natasha Kerensky naming her Warhammer). Sadly, I do not own a 3D printer at this time, or I would be all over supporting PWM to get the STLs to my heart's content churned out for my own forces.

I think it's a mistake to have board wipe equal max objective points scored. The narrative may be that the time spent controlling the zone allows for friendlies to flee to their dropships, intercept enemy transmissions, etc. Either you do it within the time specified or you don't. Thom played the objective the whole game through.

@@DeathfromAboveWargaming As someone who has played Battletech since the late 1980;s it has always been Battletech. Only newbies call it classic Battletech. The rules were not changed, just added to. Alpha Strike is a new system. It has its place for company size game but unless you have limited time I'll take Battletech anytime over Alpha Strike. You have a premier station.

Much as I enjoy the Alpha Strike stuff, I'm getting pretty bummed that Battletech Destiny seems to have been left by the wayside; y'all haven't done anything but Alpha Strike in almost a year now. Still, it was a fun batrep as always

It’s hard to keep everyone happy! I think the Classic guys hate me by now haha. We may try to circle back to Destiny, but the core systems are always going to be more popular with the masses. I was hopeful our Destiny experiment would get more traction, but I haven’t seen any real movement (supplements, etc) on the RPG since the kickstarter. I love that you love Destiny though and appreciate the input! Definitely helps us as we roadmap the content.

The only thing that has happened with the RPG really, has been a reprint of the Mechwarrior Destiny book with a new cover, and a reprint of A Time of War with a vintage cover showing the House Lords in the period of the late Succession War. And some minor errata for Destiny. I have to wonder if Dan fixing a blown porcelain thunderbox in waders, is part of the renovation you guys are doing, and that is why he is kept off camera.

dont feel bad about making mistakes like moving the archer wrong. maybe its part of the story, maybe the pilot is conflicted about this mission and not pressing the movement control all the way down and thinking about why he is here in the battle, until he sees his men getting hurt and then decides to go all out, for his men and slams the controls to full speed....
