well... having a hit song is obviously a good thing but dumbass kpop stans need to stop thinking that they NEED it to be successful, the fact they are known in sk without a 'haru haru' or a 'gee' is impressive, they have a strong fanbase, their physicals are REALLY good, they are doing well on the charts (compared to most boygroups) and their concerts are sold out everywhere, i feel like a lot of people don't give them a chance bc of their fans (?) but it's ok, what matters is that they are popular 😂

MrJaesarang Maybe... but i hope bts do what they have been doing, focusing on making music. 😊 The thing about in korea is that, i think, the media is too skewed. when bts were on tv they dont necessarily get the best one and not too many journalists write about them the next day (hardly ever on the main page of the entertainment header. ppl have to type the name and search for it,,,, which general public never do😥 i suspect it's partially because Naver invested 100 billion won into YG etc.), unlike artists from the big3 ( always on the popular tv shows even if they are rookies... even my mom knows the name of the members, not knowing single song of the groups, thou 🤣) in this clip, some ppl didnt know about bts win at bbma.. which is also due to skewed media in korea, i think... i was so ready to get the bbms related article clippings from the printed newspaper my parents r subscribing... BUT there was none...😭 nope! the next day of the bbma... nope! not on the day after bts's huge press conference after a week... i convinced myself that the newspaper my parents r subscribing were perhaps not interested in entertainment news... GUESS WHAT? the other day, i saw a big color picture of gdragon on that same newspaper,,, the article was half page long... they were talking about gdragon successfully finished sunday's concert and he's starting the world tour... 😓 i guess that's more important than bts bbma win.... seriously, people... 😣😣😣 my mom who doesnt get news from online sites like Daum or Naver, who never types bts name on the search engine.... who basically get news from printed newspaper.... doesnt know about bts bbma win, to this day... 😭😭😭 so my point is... even if bts r on tv shows... the media may not be positive and may not help much... lots of journalists being controlled by the big3 and all... so... i'm hoping bts dont waste time and just do what they do best. making awesome music 👍💜

Ada. Yeah. Bang PD only allow Bangtan to appear on variety shows that will treat them fine because when they appeared on weekly idol before, they were treated so bad. Plus, according to Bang PD he wants Bangtan to be recognized by their music and not by their variety shows skills.

This is constructive criticism, so I hope you understand. I think you should fix your interview format. For this particular video, you could start off by asking whether or not they are interested in idols, or are updated on idol news. Slowly, the questions should lead up to BTS. Abruptly asking is a little off-putting. Your format could be something like 1. Are you interested in idols? 2. Who do you think are the most popular groups lately? In Korea? Abroad? 3. Do you know of BTS? Their songs? Members? 4. How popular do you think BTS are? Then you can reveal the facts. Like the Top Social Artist Award, coverage from major Western news outlets, sold out world tour, etc. All proof of their popularity outside Korea. Your final questions could ask them for their opinions on why they think BTS is that popular, and what they think are good things that can come out of this (benefits to SK economy, maybe?) Something like that. I hope you can improve on your videos, so we can flesh out more detailed opinions from your interviewees.

People in Korea generally don't really care that much about billboard. I'm an international army who's korean and lived in korea for quite a while, but when I told my army friends in korea to vote for the billboard awards, many of them were like "what's that" or "i'm too lazy to read the english" sjkssj Usually they focus on Korean awards more than international ones which is kind of disappointing tbh but oh well

it seems like asking ramdom young ppl on street doesnt mean much... i kept wondering why ppl get so opinionated when it comes to music, unlike tv shows or movies... it's like they become some kind of an expert, all of a sudden... if i go around and ask ppl in korea about the chainsmokers or halsey or drake to general public, a lot of ppl would say they dont know the name or heard of the name but dont know their music. i myself dont know their music but i respect them and never judge. PLUS i dont watch tv drama or basically no tv (too busy streaming bts in my spare time😎)... but if ppl ask me about some supposedly popular actor, i wont question that, because im not watching tv and thats not my place to judge. gosh.. i have a point.. what is it? 😂😂😂 sorry for my ramblimg...

Thank you for the interview ! The real question is why people are not aware of their Billboard Award ? Of course, lot of them aren't fans but it's really a big thing for a korean group to win this award ! If people aren't aware of it, it only means the media coverage was poor It really breaks my heart because if a bigger group in Korea like Exo won the award every korean would probably saw it on the news on TV or in the newspaper
