Hi! Not sure if you will see this but the best thing to do is make your own lighted garlands! I get plain ones at hobby lobby and get a box of lights at the store and wrap it on the garland and it saves so much money and if lights die you just have to buy the lights again and it’s cheap!

🧺🧽 I’ve been slowly taking my Christmas down, usually I let it stay up until Jan 6th but I started taking it down a lot earlier this time and now I have my Mardi Gras decor going up. I keep my dining room tree up year round and decorate it for each holiday.

I buy the unlit garland and then get the little battery operated lights for them and that way I can keep the garland and change out the lights

Good job! I started cleaning up too a little bit in the boys room and hubby helped with the girls room. Tmrw will be taking down Christmas things from the mantle; coffee bar and changing to just winter decor& putting things away back into the attic.

🧹🧽🪣 great motivation video I need it SO much right now lol trying to get my house and life back after Christmas and it’s just so hard when everything is a mess! 😩 I usually take down my Christmas decorations after News Years Day, but I’m kinda getting the itch to do it earlier this year even though the house feels so empty I’m ready for a fresh start! I am like you l love Christmas so much . I decorate November 1st and get crap about it all the time but it makes my heart so happy! I take my decor down Christmas night after everything is done. I always get so sad when when Christmas is over so l take it down asap! Absolutely adore you!

I took down my tree Christmas Day at noon! I took all Christmas down that night! Decorated for winter! Looks so pretty ! Less clutter and lots of white !! So clean 🤍❄️

Im just not ready to undecorate just yet. I'm sure I'll get the bug sometime after new years but right now the lights just make me happy. Girl for garland i just bought the plain branch garland from hobby lobby that is 9ft and i believe around $11.99-$15.99 and then i wrap light strands around them. Its super easy to do and inexpensive and you can always keep the garland!

I prefer to label by type of decor like gingerbread, red decor, white decor, etc. That way if I want to switch up where I use the decor it makes it easier for me to find.

Couldn't you find better background music. That music is awful. I don't decorate nearly as much as you do. At one time I had a Christmas village that I handmade. I worked on it for 30 years making new buildings--school, store, house, church, etc. and I circled it with lights and I had dogs and cats and people and a lot of stuff. Every year I added to it. After 30 years I decided it was time to retire the Christmas Village, I donated it. I took pictures of it and made it into a slide show and a music video for my computer so I can still enjoy it. I had some miniature scenes--a Christmas tree with presents and a Santa and a big nutcracker collection. I had a lot of curios and three nativities. One was part of my Christmas Village. This took me 12 hours to put up and 12 hours to take down. I have cut my decorations to 1/3. I have a 4 1/2 foot tree and I kept my favorite ornaments for my tree. All decorations are handmade, my mother, my former mother-in-law, friends, and me. I also use a red and green bow to top and some garland. I have a wreath I made that I add souvenirs from trips I take. The wreath will never be finished. I have a few other wall hangings that are handmade or quilted. I can get stuff up and down much quicker now. did a "monthly" cleaning in my house two days before Christmas. It is deeper than a weekly clean but not as deep as a quarterly, semi-annual or the big annual fall cleaning. Also the day before I take the ornaments down I cleaned my bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and laundry room. I decorate my living room, meditation room and kitchen. The living room has my tree, a cativity and the bulk of my decorations. The meditation room is my second bedroom. I use it for scripture reading and prayer so I like to keep my décor centered around the birth of Christ. It has a nativity, and a Christus that I light up. The kitchen has a Christmas table cloth and an artificial poinsettia. Can't use a real one because of cats. After taking stuff down, I dust and vacuum. The rest of the house is clean because I cleaned it yesterday. Then I might take a hot bath and have something good to eat while I watch a good movie.
