I went to my boyfriend's house on Christmas Eve after he went to work that day. Christmas Day, I had stuff with my family, then my boyfriend came over and opened some gifts my family had for him, and then we went to his mom's house for dinner and hung out before going to work the day after Christmas. I didn't expect my dad to get a great Christmas present this year.❤❤❤

Hey Friend, Happy Friday. Me and my family use trash bags to put the papers and boxes in while we are opening presents. 😊 you are an amazing parent and I love that your kids were more excited about giving than receiving. The older we get I feel like more people enjoy giving more than receiving and seeing the people they buy for faces. 😊 I enjoyed watching you getting your house back in order, you even motivated me to tackle some laundry while I have food poisoning. Soo… I remember gifts that I got for Christmas when I was a kid and to this day I’m sooo thankful 😌 my family’s love language was gift giving so that’s just what I appreciate ❤ I personally enjoy quality time but unfortunately everyone lives in a different state so we show appreciation with gifts

Great video. Never think that you have to get your oldest less because of his age. All my kids are grown, and we have grandchildren, and we never worry about not giving them too much. Finances always dictate how much but age never dictates how much. We were lucky to be able to splurge this year. Your children are always your children, no matter how old they are. Get a couple of, rectangular, decorative baskets for your counter by your sink, to put your papers and stuff in. When they get full go through and empty them. In the meantime, things always look neat.

And if something is unimportant to you, it doesn't mean it's unimportant to the other person either. And your children are human beings too, and they have their own views on the matter. You don't need to speak for yourself. You are you, and your children are different people.

I agree with you. It is awesome to have vacation time off. I’m a teacher and I like having my days off with my kids and now I’m having a mop with my granddaughters and I am planning on retiring by the end of May this year. I’m so excited 42 years, and I am finally feeling like it’s the end of that career and moving on doing more things with my granddaughters❤❤❤❤ this year after being shuffling and moving boxes when I can come home due to long distance finishing my teaching career up North. I moved south, three hours to be closer to my kids still unpacking,so we changed our traditions for Christmas this year, but it was still just a pleasant one with my youngest son and his daughter and wife and then my other son will be seeing, a couple of days two daughters. We made foods and desserts on Christmas Eve and then we just kind of made our own choices of our lunch, dinner and snacks for Christmas Day and chilled built legos, read n played dolls 😂😅 so I’m glad you were able to enjoy your kiddos. I do like the sleep in days n a bit later evenings to do as we wish. Thanks for all your motivation.😊 have a great new year

Good to see you all had a nice Christmas. As far as gift giving, we spend the same amount on all 4 of our kids. They are spread out a bit in age, 6 years between #1 and 2, 4 years between #2 and 3 and 2 years between #3 and 4. I don't think age should matter in how much you spend, but I feel like it should be as equal as possible.

I remember my childhood Christmases to be made up of lies.. :( my dad wouldn't let us celebrate at all.. no tree, no gifts except for my brother who got a gift... my friends would ask what I got for Christmas and I was so embarrassed to say I didn't get anything that I would lie and tell them all the things I would love to have...my mother cried every year at Christmas..but she would make a delicious dinner..my dad was very mean...
