This Crazy Life Great cleaning video! So....suggestions. I loved your “Day in the Life” vlog you recently did....just casual every day life; what you got at Dollar Tree...all of that. Plus...I LOVE your grocery hauls! I loved it when you did the Aldi grocery hauls in your house in South Dakota.....and did the weekly meal plan...and then the budget! I was SO IMPRESSED how you were able to keep the budget at your goal......I shop at Aldi for my family of 5; alternating with Wegmans every other week....and it’s usually $100-$150 each week. Not sure how you did that awesome budget! My kids eat SO MUCH!! lol But I love to see grocery hauls; meal plans; and how you keep it all in budget with the 5 of you. Also , I love the recipe ones! Always nice to see different dinner ideas. And different staples that other Moms have in thier households for dinners. Gives us ideas for changing it up in our own households too! 😊 Or how about your weekly “daily tasks” routine for each day? Or a what’s in my purse? Or how you keep an organized closet? Or kitchen cupboards? Would these even be something fun to do? I just organized alllllll of my kitchen cupboards; thinking of how I should do a video on the whole process!! I suddenly had tons of video ideas! lol! Can you tell you’re my favorite channel!!? 😁😄

Love your cleaning videos! I too always hand wash my knives, pots and pans and good glass wear. I learned to never put knives in the dishwasher because you’ll dull them and ruin the wooden handles. Also, the only way my dishwasher would clean pots thoroughly would be if I precleaned them so why not just wash them myself. Plus the extreme heat can make the handles loose and ruin the wooden/plastic handles. Lastly, I am forever indebted to you for turning me on to essential oils in the sink and other places! I keep several scents by my kitchen sink and use them all the time. My favorite scents are anything citrus. You’ve actually made me enjoy cleaning!

I also wash my pots and pans by hand. I have the biltmore set and when I first got them I put them in the dishwasher and it either would leave some residue or food particles on the sides and I'd have to hand wash them anyway or like my frying pans it deteriorated the look of them. Since I've been handwashing them I have no issues. It sort of relaxes me too. I also hand wash knives and cups. Great video.

I also hand wash my pots and pans. I have the ones with Teflon and although it is dishwasher safe the heat can eat away the coating. It’s safer to just hand wash. We received the set for our wedding back in 2016 and they still look brand new!

Four days late but oh well ;-D! I always hand wash my knives because of the wooden handles. I also hand wash my non-stick cookware; I think that's what's recommended to make it last longer. I'll hand wash the regular pots/pans if I'm on a cleaning roll, otherwise they go in the dishwasher. I'm divorced and kids are grown so I don't have to run the dishwasher every day. Sometimes it's quicker to hand wash everything. I love watching these videos to see how other people do things. Yours are my favorites!

I definitely hand wash pots and pans and especially knives! They get ruined in the dishwasher. When I lived at home, we had multiple knives break apart after being in the dishwasher. Yeti cups and swell bottles and all those vacuum sealed ones can’t go in the dishwasher either! I see so many people dishwash them on KZbin and I’m like NOO! Haha love your videos!

Daily routines are key! I think people may think that to clean everyday is more work but really, just a few minutes a day not only keep the house clean (and I can enjoy it more that way) but also keep me from spending a huge amount of time on the weekends trying to catch up! I am such a big proponent of handling housework this way--so much more manageable!!

I also handwash knives and pots and pans, plus cutting boards and wooden utensils. I got the ecloth set with 8 cloths. I find that using the stainless steel cloth followed by the polishing cloth leaves some water spots on my fridge. 🙁. It probably just depends on your stainless steel I am guessing. One trick I found is that I can use a little bit of baby oil to polish my fridge and it leaves no spots or streaks.
@ThisCrazyLife6 жыл бұрын
Oh weird! I haven’t actually tried the stainless steel cloth. I just use the all purpose cloth that’s wet with water and dry with the glass and polishing cloth and it always works perfectly. But like you said, it may be different depending on your own appliances. That’s a great tip though! ♥️

I used to wet-dust my walls and surfaces about 10-15 years ago when my daughters were little. After my son was born 9 years ago, I slowed down and couldn't stay up as late while still remaining functional. Now I just make sure my kitchen is clean and food is put away then I conk out, LOL. I work from home 80% of the time, so the majority of my cleaning is done throughout the day. Having 2 cats requires me to vacuum twice a day; once at 9am and then at 7pm that I coincided with the cats' feedings. I have a little trick for eliminating static electricity from pet brushing (cats need daily brushing to prevent hairballs, but we don't want them shocking themselves, LOL): I attach a piece of dryer sheet to my cat's slicker brush. Sometimes things get very cooky when I have to drop everything to negotiate a property lead or close on one, and our entire routine is completely thrown off.

My grandma has never had a dishwasher and she still has a lot of the dishes from when she married my grandpa. Washing things by hand just seems to keep them in better shape. They bought us a nice Calphalon pot and pan set and knives for our wedding and I never put them in the dishwasher. My nicest knives say that the warranty is voided if it goes through the dishwasher. If it's expensive then I want to take the best possible care of it so I just don't risk putting it in the dishwasher.

We are a plant-based family (at least we ALL are when at home, my husband and 1 of our son's aren't when we eat out) and I'd love it if you did some more recipe videos! I'm always looking for quick and easy or crockpot recipes I can make that my kids will love!

Hey! Welcome to the family! We went plant based over the summer and we still eat a lot of plant based meals, but at this time we aren’t completely plant based, but I will definitely be sharing more recipes! ♥️

Do you wet your e-cloths or microfibre cloths before you use them to wipe down surfaces?
@ThisCrazyLife6 жыл бұрын
I wet my all purpose ecloth because that’s how it will clean and disinfect without using spray products. But my microfiber towels I use with cleaners, I will keep those dry♥️

Thank you for sharing your beautiful routine. I need your advice. I am currently 23 weeks pregnant with my second child. I do all the house chores by myself. Since I got pregnant, I struggle to keep up with being heavy and pain in my back and more. Everything keeps piling up on me and I don't know what to do. So disappointed at myself and sad to see my house is a huge mess and I used to clean it real good before.

Girl! Give yourself grace! Do what you can, but most important is you and your little one! I would say make a list of things you want to keep clean on a daily basis. Then number them from most important to least. Each day, start at the top of your list, and go down. Whatever doesn’t get done doesn’t get done. But it can feel less chaotic for you and know that while the house may not be perfect right now, this is just a season of life, and it will get easier! And give yourself a ton of credit bc you’re growing a tiny human... which is AMAZING! you’re doing incredible!! 💕💕💕

hey mandiee! another great video as always. I have a question do u find that using any brand essential oil would smell when you put it in the dish drian? I see you use simply earth but I dont use that brand and I tried it and I didnt smell it at all. do you reccomend I try the simply earth ones? Love ya💜💜💜
@ThisCrazyLife6 жыл бұрын
Hey girl! I do think the brand matters, you need to find a quality brand, because a lot of them get watered down and aren’t pure. So you need to use a lot more to get the same smell and they will also lose lots of therapeutic benefits. I used to use doterra but they are so pricey. So about a year ago I found Simply Earth and love them! They have amazing quality oils and are less than half the price. One bottle is usually between $8-10 and it lasts forever! I have a link to Simply Earth in the description box and you should be able to use the code simply13 for a discount... I believe it should be valid still. And also you can just order them on amazon too, I have my favorite oils saved in my amazon favorites as well 😘 www.amazon.com/shop/thiscrazylife

@Andrea I had the same issue so I used more and super hot water to get the smell more. I plan on ordering higher quality oils once I figure out which ones I like/can have around cats.
