love this tutorial so much thank you! I don't suppose you know how to get the effect to loop? I tried clicking alt on the stop watch and typing the loop(out) code but it didn't work for some reason

This is great. How do you take this type of effect and loop it, since 1 evolution doesn't bring it fully back to the original look for a seamless loop?

in turbulent displace effect go to evolution>evolution options> cycle evolution

Have you applied the turbulent displace? If so, you need to animate the evolution property under window > effect controls > turbulent displace > evolve

Sure! Instead of the Turbulent Displace effect, the Twirl effect should work!

How do you make this, but overlay onto a video, and/or warp the video itself? really trying to learn how to make psychedelic visual simulations on my normal scenic videos. If you or anyone could link me something id appreciate it.

You could for starters use this composition as a displacement map, maybe that helps

why are there black holes in my image

The Turbulent Displace is making the holes because it's too intense, you can either reduce the strength or place a duplicate of the texture underneath without the turbulent displace!

@@SANTALICKSPEOPLE its ok if there a holes. just make a new solid layer and put it under your image layer or do another turbulent under it that shows through the holes. i like pushing it to its limits
