Decipher es el segundo álbum de la banda de metal gótico, After Forever. Este álbum cuenta con doce canciones de corte bastante melódico y con las voces soprano en alto estado de evolución, resulta un gran álbum para el movimiento de metal gótico, ya que cuenta con temas líricos acordes, además de una elaborada música, combinación de fuerza, guturales y la hermosa voz de la soprano. Este es el último álbum donde participa Mark Jansen antes de retirarse de la banda por diferencias creativas con el resto de los miembros.

As a Dutch person she was finally credited on Dutch tv. here on Kopspijkers. Although her talent was never appreciated until she went on the Dutch tv show beste zangers. Back in these days the dutchies would call this weird her movements scary and the music satanic. Dutch people are good at bringing others down. She is a true Angel with world class talent. This band was absolutely phenomenal. People should recognize talent and support it! Floor is amazing! 🎉

New Nightwish fan (3mths.). Here to check out some of Floor's previous bands. I'm embarrassed that North America hasn't gone crazy for Nightwish especially now that Floor is their lead singer. What an incredible talent Floor is. Her vocal ability, even in her early 20s, crushes anything I've ever heard, even now. She probably even wrote this too. Insanely talented!

So I really got into the whole Dutch symphonic metal scene (same time I discovered Nightwish) in the early 00s, and After Forever was my favourite, hands down. They were a bit more prog than their contemporaries, but mostly because of Floor. Tarja had the more accomplished operatic voice for sure, and Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation) and Simone Simons (Epica) were also good, but Floor was my favourite. She's versatile, powerful, had the whole goth-Amazon image going on, and really presented herself as the band's frontwoman. I got to see AF on their last North American tour before they broke up and they were fantastic. I'm glad Floor carried on and eventually joined one of my other favourite bands, but I haven't had a chance to see Nightwish since she joined. Hopefully next tour!

I admire this bands (and epica and within temptation and Thereon) dedication to this genre of music. They defrosted classic music. The elitists had frozen classical music and sucked out all creativity and turned music into an exersise stuck on repeat. Musicians like these saved it from beeing frozen and brought it back to the flow of times.
