Was going to CB end of the month. What a catastrophe. It'll take a year just to remove the sand and debris. Even if you're high and dry in the Sands or Wyndham where do you go? That pizza joint at the Hyatt and beach wear store in Beach View are a total loss. Surf Style looks like a Gaza storefront. Frenchy's Rockaway up north off Mandalay is right on the beach so I would not be surprised if it's wiped out. We love the Clear Sky Cafe down there. I hit Beach Shanty for breakfast when my wife is still sleeping. The price of insurance and desirability just got a little higher and lower, respectively. Oh well.....

You’re foolish if you thought this never would happen. I live there for 55 years and I knew the day was coming, but this isn’t even the bad one wait till the real one hits. Sustain wins of 70 miles an hour did this. location, location, location, the key element to storm surge

What is depressing is that permits were actually issued to build there. That city is built on the ocean floor not dry land.
