No one believes me when I say he likes the drugs, my homie is about that life lol, no joke at first he was obviously scared because I had to sneak a shot into his muscle quickly so he got the right dose, by dose number 2 he saw the needle and came over for it which is not regular of all the animals I’ve had to knock down for medical reasons or transfer I’ve never seen it, then doc asked if I thought he’d smoke the gas himself instead of stressing him out holding him and masking him and I said I dunno let’s give it a shot and yea he did and does everytime he goes to the vet. Can’t get that hose away from him until he’s out 🤣 he’s too funny

Trust me I get it, I lost my first pup Hurley a few years back and she was with me through allloottttt of bullshit in my life and then duke came along too and passed this last December at 10 years old which is a long life for a big ol mastiff but it didn’t make it any easier. I cried like a baby when they went and it still sucks to this day. The whole is never filled when they go because they’re the only true innocence in this world and they love us no matter what. Sorry to hear about your pup 🐶

Sometimes we can only take what we can take and better that than overload because that one pup will get everything it needs and all the love in the world. 20 pups would get everything they need to but it’s a balance of what we can do and what we can do way better. I know the feeling of wanting to save everything because I have many rescues here but I can’t take in anymore right now so I try and help find places for certain things but the fact your willing to foster one is more than most people on earth would do so focus on that instead of what could be. I know you’d probably take a thousand if it was possible but even taking that one means more then you’ll ever know. Especially to that pup

I could listen to a 3-hour seminar on sloths from you. Question - does the two told sloth like to swim if I recall correctly the three toad is a very good swimmer. I'm wondering if they like to swim in captivity as well or is that only more of a evasive, offensive, defensive mechanism to get away from predators?

They can swim, poorly but they can do it lol, generally speaking with the way they move and this is not researched by any means so I could be wrong but just from observation over the years I’d say it’s probably something to do with getting away from predators or trying to get to a new spot for the foodsies. I only say that because when you watch chewy on the floor walking to find a place to shit he looks like he’s crawling to the grave 😂 as they all do. They’re far better upside down in the trees then right side up on the floor so I’d assume the swimming would be a have to and not necessarily a want. I’d be to afraid to leave a pool in there with him incase he couldn’t get out but man he loves the rain so I’ve brought it in before and he likes it just fine but he more likes to hold onto the side and dip the biscuits
