It’s crazy to see people cherish longevity over winning and being undefeated in the finals and doing it all in a shorter amount of time and I would expect for a superstar player like LeBron to be able to play as long as he’s playing with the technology medicine and training that the players have today so it’s not that impressive to me if Jordan was doing what he was doing back in the 80s and 90s just imagine if he played in this era with all the benefits that these players have and on top of that being able to jump to the greatest teams and being able to handpick the greatest players to play with but at the end of the day it’s about what the majority of people think and as you can see with every major poll that comes out Jordan is number because they see through what Lebron and the media is trying to do and that is make him the goat off of his longevity what is longevity and breaking records just because you play longer if you’re not actually winning championships I feel if he has 2 or 3 more seasons of either not making the playoffs or getting kicked out in the first round his longevity will start to work against him I mean Kareem has been the all-time leading score and most people don’t look at him as the goat so why would LeBron all of a sudden be considered that by the majority of people just my opinion I would like to know what you think 🤷🏽‍♂️

Well Lebron was better than Kareem at his peak and has also been significantly better in his later seasons than KAJ was. Plus Kareem is still often called the GOAT by those from the 80s and 90s, the people who grew up with him as the best in the league throughout the 70s and early 80s. I think the undefeated finals point for MJ is dumb since the circumstances were not the same, why should losing in the finals be seen as a negative while losing earlier in the playoffs is ignored entirely? Lebron and MJ played with and against different players, so determining who is greater requires much more nuance than "this guy won more in the finals" ya know? Lebron "handpicked" great teammates but he never had a chance to play with a Scottie Pippen on his own, Jordan wasn't winning any more title than Lebron with the 2000s Cavaliers and he wasn't beating the KD Warriors. Jordan is still my GOAT atm but I think it's completely reasonable to take Lebron if you value playing more seasons, it's not like MJ retired due to the circumstances of his era, he CHOSE to retire early twice, and you can't give him credit for potentially playing longer in the modern era when it's only a hypothetical.

@@MikeTheNBAGuy You made some valid points but the only way we will know for sure who’s the greatest is if they were able to play against each other so since they can’t do that we have to look at their full career and compare them off of the smallest things that happened nick picking everything and the reason why losing in the finals is worse than losing early on in the playoffs because if you lose in the first round more than likely you had a trash team 8 seed going up against the 1 seed so everyone expects for you to lose so that’s really not a big deal you just come back the next year and try again But when you lose in the finals more than likely both teams are great 1 seeds so for you to be on the biggest stage as a superstar and lose I think that’s more embarrassing and you said LeBron didn’t have a chance to play with de Pippen like player well he had many of chances to choose a player like Pippen The way he was able to handpick superstar players every year so that’s his fault so as I said before LeBron‘s longevity is great But if you’re not able to continuously win especially when Jordan played less years think Lebron people are not gonna look at him as being on the same level as Jordan and to be honest my mind It’s already made up you can’t be that go with 6 finals losses and a big meltdown in 11 and it’s taking LeBron a lot longer to do what Jordan did in a much shorter time

@@puncho8799 The 2011 is the kicker for me. If he won that year like he shouldve I dont think MJ would have a case with the longevity difference. but that finals choke is something Jordan doesnt have on his legacy and it holds Lebron back alot. You can excuse the loss in 2007 and 2018 due to trash teams and 2017 was against the greatest team ever, but 2011 was a flat out choke that's was 100% on Bron

@@MikeTheNBAGuy I get what your saying but that’s the thing I don’t remember anyone ever making excuses for a player before LeBron came along back in the day a loss in the finals was a loss in the finals there were no excuses for why you loss or saying I don’t count this loss because of whatever reason but we all have our opinions 🤷🏽‍♂️

@@puncho8799 I mean MJ's losses to the Pistons are excused the exact same way, he played great but his help just wasnt good enough. Wilt is always excused by his fans for losing to Russell and the Celtics (although Wilt's help is historically underrated and his many chokes are ignored so I dont think it's actually justifiable in his case). Kareem was losing throughout the 70s, even missing the postseason in his prime, and he's the borderline consensus #3 player ever, but most people excuse him for it because his help wasnt good.

A guy with more turnovers then anyone in history cannot be the goat. Lebron needs at least two more rings before he is even in the same ballpark as Jordan. Lebron thinks scoring the most points will make him the goat which is about as logical as saying Pete Rose is the goat of baseball because he has the most hits. Also someone needs to send LeBron the memo that Kareem spent 3 years in college.

Bron is goat because he is the most unique & well rounded impactful player ever. No one other player in nba history can match all the intangibles he brings to the court. He is one of the most physically gifted athletes while also being one of the smartest. He’ll be the all time leading scorer but, No further accomplishments necessary.

I agree 💯% for some reason finals losses and jumping teams and being able to handpick your superstar teammates to create super teams is acceptable 🤷🏽‍♂️🤣

@@puncho8799 let’s look at why he left Cleveland the first time. His second best player was Mo Williams Delonte West allegedly slept with LeBron’s mom, LeBron was taking this team to the ECF and every time he lost he got scrutinized even though his team was much worse than the other, and one finals reason: Almost every other top 10 player had a great situation Magic got drafted to play with Kareem, Larry Bird had Mchale, MJ had Pippen, Kareem had the big O. When LeBron joined Miami he was putting himself in a position other greats were in because they had a competent front office. And Wade was his friend of course he joined him. Also Bosh isn’t no damn superstar, and for the losses in the finals: 2007: dragged a trash team to the finals and went up against a dynasty 2011: ight inexcusable 2014: meh 2015: Klove and Kyrie were injured and LeBron still took the Warriors to six games 2017: KD joined 2018: Kyrie left the Cavs

@@legendarywiimaster All of that sounds like excuses to me if LeBron was the superstar he should have had them to come join him in Cleveland not go join another superstar they had already won a ring and with every other superstar in the history of the NBA a loss is a loss in the finals but when it comes to Lebron his fans wanna make up excuses for his losing 🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️
