It seems that buffet staff hands the food out to the customers rather than the customers touching the food and utensils - like a cafeteria Much cleaner and less chance of a bug going around the ship. The ship seem the right size, not too small nor too large. Looking forward next time for the cabin tour.

And to let you know, that based on this video I've gone and purchased a Insta3600 X4 (using your link of course). My best friend went on MSC-Trips four times and strongly recommended it to me so I went on a trip with the MSC Euribia earlier this year and it was absolutely great. I wasn‘t screamed at although I filmed quite a bit. The food was very good and so much variety that we weren‘t able to try everything. The outside pool was so long and so nice with sculptures all around and warm that I was able to continue my swim training daily. The shows were very good and the staff was very polite and friendly. The few things I didn‘t like much were 1. very small and few shops 2. the pricey massages and very expensive creams that are sold in that area (I think the main problem was me because I didn‘t ask what the price of these creams would be) 3. I was asked for a permission to travel with my daughter signed by her father and didn‘t have that. The manager said I had to show it till departure. The queue was very long at the reception desk. When finally at front, nobody knew about the missing signature and I had to convince a staff member to take notice that I showed the signature so I could go snd finally relax. That was chaotic. I think So perhaps the complaints could have come through to the MSC management at last so that they changed some things. I can recommend going on a cruise with MSC

Well I am just gonna declare the explora cruise is a foodie cruise. Tempted to fly long distance for this which we don't really do for cruising. Europe and USA is really far from Singapore. Ben and David would know this. Love love love that its not self served and waiter served food. ❤

My husband and I were on Explora 1 for the second week of her maiden voyage. There were only 450 passengers aboard, mostly travel agents and writers. We might have been the only paying passengers. The food was fabulous, particularly in the Emporium. Not your typical buffet! Sakura was also a favorite. I became nearly proficient with chopsticks! Our Penthouse suite, with butler, was wonderful. It was an apartment! Heated bathroom floors! Wonderful fluffy bathrobes! A fancy Dyson hairdryer! But, no vanity mirror. (I think this has been remedied, based on videos I have seen.) It took a few days to figure out how to use the coffee maker. (Our butler didn't know how to use it, either.) We had ordered Chardonnay and Irish whiskey for the room, but there was no Irish Whiskey. (More about that in a moment.) We enjoyed the evening entertainment. Service was excellent in every venue. There were only a few things that were disappointing, specifically the Whiskey Bar and Cigar Lounge. The Whiskey Bar had NO Irish whiskey. A single bottle of Jameson was located in the lobby bar, and stashed in the Whiskey Bar for my husband. No cigar smoking was allowed in the Cigar Lounge. The necessary permits had not been secured before her inaugural trip. We spent our onboard credit at the spa, which was quite wonderful. We loved our trip, and plan to cruise on her again.

Ok, you guys stunned me with this one. If I ever got the chance to take a cruise on a major cruise line MSC was right out. Now I'm rethinking it. I love the idea that everything on ship is included (with the one restaurant exception). I love the idea of the smaller ship too as the megaships do not interest me at all. I'm all about relaxing when I go on vacation & don't need or want all the rides, etc. The problem I see now is if I can get over the idea of the long flight from the U.S. to Europe. I know, a me problem. 😉 Unfortunately with leg & back pain it is a serious consideration for me. Loved your take on this ship!

Hi Ben and David. I really really love love your MSC vlog here. In fact I think I love this MSC ship better than the Royal Caribbean. This ship is more preferable to me in size amongst many other features. The decor and ambience is fantastic. The gastronomy looks out of this world. I love the pool and hot tub layout. The theatre is nicely spread out. No obstruction from what I see. Seats nicely spaced. Gym for me. Yes gyms usually are crowded. After all the food, it's a plus to work off a few calories. There is nothing about this ship I don't love. Best of all, the atmosphere looks so relaxing and peaceful which I prefer to reset and refresh. No long walking to get to anywhere. Now I will be looking at MSC cruises for future cruising. I confess I was a little envious. This is my kind of cruising. Thank you for sharing. A lovely insight into this new MSC ship.

You realize the selfie stick is not invisible it's the technology that stitches the 2 images together that hides it. 😊. You can use any selfie stick providing its no thicker than the camera.
