We Hindus didn't do religious politics for a long time. What we got was increasing intolerance towards our religion and customs and fragmenting our hindu society in the name of caste and language. In that same time, m*slims and Christians got a free run with iftar parties in political power corridors, increasing m*slim refugees from bangladesh to gather muslim votes, donations from all over the world from Christians and muslims which led to promoting radical strains of these ideology in our land etc (remember how zakir naik openly gave sermons against Hindus from India itself). I personally feel SC's decision was right in Ram Mandir Case but I also admit that it was not just but in favour of the people of the country. We needed peace, we were not in a position to handle a massacre. Now when the dispute is over peacefully I don't understand the purpose of hindu muslim hatred. This is not what we wanted at the end of such a big dispute! I thought it would sweeten relations and our nation would focus on development, we're much more capable.
