When i worked for a CVS and somebody came in looking for batteries, which were in a giant battery-shaped display at the front of the store, i would lead them to the stand and say "Here is your selection of AAAHs. Let me know if you need further assistance!"

I love seeing supermarkets from other countries. We all eat the same things, but with different labels, made in different factories, and eaten in different accents. Except Vegemite. I've tried it, properly, with a small amount on buttered toast, and it's not bad at all, but it's a bit too far out for most 'MURRICANS. Happy new year, everybody!

There were very briefly timtams at a store I go to in America, and I had to buy some because of you. Too good, I could barely hold myself back from them, they had to call the local sheriff to deal with me, now I'm locked up in a mental institution. Thank you Australia.

The primary source of foreign goodies, in my experience, is either ethnic markets (There's a little veggie stand right next door that does Indian and asian food, but also has a very smally corner in back where they sell WeetBix, Tim Tams, etc.) or Cost Less World Market. With Violet Crumbles, however, Bartells Pharmacy will gt them in every couple of months.

I recently ordered some TimTams just because of how Dank talked about them and the Aussie snags. And as an American, those things are too good. My family and I DEMOLOSHED like 5 different flavors of them. Best packaged cookie I’ve had.

Recommended to do an old Tim Tam Slam the next time you do that. It's where you bite the corner off, and then the corner opposite and use it as a straw. It gets all soggy and it becomes this mass of chocolate. Do it with Double Coat personally because it's double the chocolate and cream.

0:27 - I was told things are expensive in Australia, but this is unbelievably crazy. You can get a 6pk of Milo here in Malaysia, for only 99 cents more!

He's showing drinks in the refrigerated section which are more expensive than the warm bulk packs, which you would be comparing your 6 pack against Australia is more expensive than Malaysia yes, but that's probably not the example you'd want to use.

It's expensive because we don't typically buy it that way. We buy the powder in resealable cans (think paint tins, and anywhere from 200g to 1kg) and mix it ourselves.

Swede here. I visited Australia in February and saw the inside of a few supermarkets during my stay and yes, it looked a lot like this. I feel I missed out on the Tim Tams though. Got a small one on the plane ride and thought it was really tasty but somehow never found that many in the stores. Must have looked in the wrong section or something!

We have Bundaberg in Germany but it's only the small bottles and they're like 3 AUD. It's not even imported, it's made and bottled in Germany under license.

We have those strange yellow things in Canada (as you might’ve seen when you visited BC) but we don’t sell them in supermarkets. We use them to measure distances so they’re sold in hardware stores. Distance is either measured in bananas or time it takes to travel in Canada.

As someone who lives both in the US and France, the only people who say American chocolate tastes bad are the same people who have only tried Hershey's or chocolate in something like Reese's cups. Plenty of other chocolate brands in the US are great

I bet those Pringles are the ones made in Malaysia. They are the cost-cut version by added wheat flour, instead of using pure dried potato. In Thailand, we have a third party import company who still imports US made version into the country, but the price is double, or sometimes triple for special flavors compared to the Malaysia made one.

I found Bundaberg root beer at a gas station in Virginia one time. Haven't found it since unfortunately, but it was an interesting taste to say the least. Far less sweet than American soda for one thing, but also had flavors reminiscent of regular beer, like hops or something. No alcohol though, it was definitely root beer. Maybe I can order some off of Amazon and try it again some day.

I’m American. The only place I’ve seen bundaberg over here is in, believe it or not, the drink section in the store part of Cracker Barrel, and like, I feel like for being shipped nearly 10,000 miles (16,093 km) they were honestly kinda cheap. Like I think they were like 3.99 usd each or something.

Recommendation: Mersey Valley, Salt and Vinegar variety, get one of those handheld graters that make fine shavings, slap some of that on a pasta instead of regular shredded/grated cheese. Potent, tangy, whilst retaining all of the regular qualities cheese holds in acclaim.

As an Australian, I spent this video trying to figure out which chain supermarket this was purely based on the price labels. I believe the OG footage is IGA (or some weird SA-only store, such as Foodland) and the Tim Tam footage is for sure Woolies.

I think it's cool to see foreign supermarkets and the random weird stuff they have. It's one of the little things that makes traveling so fun. I'm sure an Australian supermarket would be prettty interesting if you'd never seen one before... saying that i piss and moan about Coles and Woolies all the time, especially the shrinkflation.

My elder brother's friend moved to Aus with his family about 15 years ago , and I saw him for the first time in a decade , and we talked Australia and he told me that I am the first one he meets in Greece who doesn't just say stereotypes about Australia but actually knows a thing or two, I asked him about tim tams and he was like "you want some? I brought some packs with me." He gave me one, ate it the next day , guys , I am not kidding, if you find nothing interesting about Australia , this is one very good reason to visit , these things are not just good. they're a miracle. They're so delicious it's stupid.

As an Australian, I have only seen Milo in a drink can either when visiting the Philippines, or at Filipino food stores when getting crunchy pork or yellow bread. Interesting how I've not seen it at places where the cereal is sold, and same with seeing the cereal at places where the drink is sold. Then there's the Milo drink mix powder. Instructions on the tin say to put three heaped tablespoons per cup. Two already feels like a lot.

Name and company is the same, and the Australian Milo is the original, but trust me, it's not what you're thinking. SEA Milo is very different from Aus/NZ - sweeter and more powdery.

Okay so if you're like me and live in the US and were wondering what at 1:07 is actually a sausage roll, you HAVE to try these. Me and my wife looked up an aussie recipe for them and they were SO TASTY. How these havent made it to the US is beyond me.
