Oh Tammy....why am I feeling so whistful watching this tour of your home? I feel I almost like I lived there watching you do so many videos from those various locations...and listening to your stories as I saw the driveway or pool...ah. ,..modeling on your staircase...and that won't come again. Your home here is one of the most beautiful homes I have ever seen. Big but not so big you feel homeless...and all those windows. This is a artists' house.The sunroom and that tile...omg. I love your kitchen cabinets!!! I can't help but wonder how you feel? My guess would be half relieved it's over and half whistful? LOL...I assume a lot! I once lived in a beautiful mini-mansion with my husband Bill. It was beautiful and I learned a house is not a home without love...and I know you have that is spades with your Lou. Your home is beautiful and I can tell that it was well cared for. I'm sure that you won't miss the freezing cold winters. I sold my home last year after 34 years living there and raising two children, I learned that as hard as it was leaving my home, I got to take all those memories with me in my heart. I lost my husband 2 years ago and as difficult as it was finishing packing I knew that I was leaving an almost brand new house for the new owners. The best part is that I returned to the house I grew up in after my parents passed. I have followed you for many years and have learned so much from you and have such as admiration for you. The new owners will love living in your home and will make many memories in a home where there was much love. Besos lovely Tammy.

I totally agree with you, my home is where my husband and pups are. Your home reminds me of the house we sold when we moved to Montana many years ago. No matter all the places we have lived because of his military career, I still wish we could move back to New York. I do truly miss living there. Oh well, onward to new adventures! Hope you. I loved seeing your beautiful home. It’s exactly as I would have imagined. Classy and elegant just as you are. I got a little teary watching this as I’m embarking on much the same life journey myself. I’m just not convinced that a native hardcore NYer ( my Italian family came through Ellis island and lived in Brooklyn and Queens before my dad bought our home on LI) is ready to put roots down permanently in California. Such a pretty home and lovingly taken care of. I have gone through homes in the past saying “goodbye” with last looks, and it is the memories that makes it hurt a little. You are right though, it’s the people, not the home. I wish we had some of those magnificent trees that you have surrounding the house here in Texas. Your landscape is so beautiful. Loved the house. I love detailing like that especially the windows. We have something similar, but in Norway these days people are into the modern style homes that more or less look like a Lego piece with lots of glass added on. I much more appreciate a good and well thought out architectural designed home. It's a beautiful property and the long driveway makes it so private and shielded. Thanks for the tour. Lots of architectural inspiration for someone like me.

I’m in the Oslo area and super close to the ocean, but we also have a farm at the west coast with stunning surroundings. (mountains, fjords, glaciers etc). I have traveled the world extensively, but nothing beats home with clean and fresh air😍.

It's an amazing house, but with Covid, and the problem with maintenance, I can well understand selling out and going to Florida with that lovely weather. How can you not be sad leaving a place you've lived in so long and obviously loved, but life is a series of adventures and now you're moving on. I'm sure you are going to love your new home. Two years ago, we made the move from MD to AL with 2 dogs and got another dog since arriving. Now in a rental home while we await the building of our new home. Not a great time to build a house but life goes on.

What a beautiful home and thank you for sharing. I love the grounds as I am into gardening. I totally understand why you preferred to not show it while living there. You have to be so careful these days as you don't know who is trolling to come and break in. Sad it has come to that. I get the moving to Florida full time. I had to move from Palm Desert back to the NW when my mother was ill. She passed in January but I can't afford to move back now. Maybe someday.

I would have definitely thought it was done by the same professional you hired for all of your other areas. I’ve been MIA for quiet some time. Your home & property were both beautiful. What part of Florida is the condo. I know I knew years ago when I started watching, but again I’ve been missing all the things for a couple of years. I would Love to downsize. I’ve been in this home for almost 20 yrs now and just the thought of having to go through 20 years worth of Crap has me over whelmed & full of anxiety. And you pay as much now for a much smaller home as you did for the larger one. It’s a golf course community and the market is crazy right now. A house in the neighborhood sold for 10% Over Asking. Hopefully now that I’ve found you again I can catch some more videos. Take care and Enjoy Florida!!

Your house is beautiful. I have Venetian Plaster in my Master suite and did a faux leather on the ceiling of my hubby's office in the house. So funny how similar we are. Well that was fun Tammy...I'm in the throws of a move right now. We purchased a new home and close Monday...and physically move on Friday. Had planned on not selling the condo until we were settled in and had the time to deal with it but as you know when the market is hot you just go with it. Had an offer that we couldn't refuse (4 actually) and we close on it on the 22nd! Packing is not fun as you know. Lots of purging! We had sold our Arkansas home furnished which made that move easy - this one not so much. Safe travels and we'll see you back in Florida. xo patti

Y husband and I recently did the same thing in the fall purged and sold our New York house for our forever retirement home in Florida. It was the best move we ever made and have never looked back. Just miss our friends and family but we can always go back and visit. I don’t ever want to see a packing box again! It was tough but we got through it. Much happiness in your new adventure!
