The scene by the pond is Descanso Gardens/LA Botanical Gardens in Glendale. That exact shot frame was used in the first episode of Star Trek: Deep Space 9 when CMDR Sisko tells Jake they can “take the pond with them”.

It's titled EXTANT... I reckon this poor recap is supposed to be season 1, the season I've NOT seen... I was got season 2 as gift, & instantly got addicted to the series...it had many twist & turns, is thought-provoking to say the least. Season 2 (final season) can stand pretty much alone, since there are mini recaps of season one merged in tastefully to explain certain questions that arise & the ending is satisfying (not a cliffhanger!), & leaves the potential for season 3 open... I personally like the DVDs because of the options to watch w/ commentary including little clips of behind the scenes & such
