They are conversing and enjoying each other's company. I miss those days. In 1987 I was in Bossier City, Louisiana. I believe I was working for Albertsons. I like to visit Nelson's videos and enjoy the sounds of people talking. A much simpler time when folks actually read a hard copy newspaper. Thanks for these videos.

Harry Monk ok Harry, what's really going on? I see you post on other videos on this channel, stating you "dont have anything against Nelson. He seemed like a decent guy." Only that you had thought he hung around the wrong people. Like you posted on the Christmas party, (at the obvious douche, Alig), party. Now you're here disparaging Nelson himself. Why the change in your view of Nelson. I think your first analysis on him in the Christmas comment section was pretty spot on. He was a good man, that hung out with the wrong crowd.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree.....although in the mid 80's I was in Kansas City, these videos remind me so much of that time when I was almost too old to be young but too young to be old (in 87 I was 33) and we all ran in packs.....it really makes me believe even more than ever that being gay was almost universal in the way we valued our friendships and it seems like we did even more at the dawn of the AIDS crisis...we knew something was trying to get us but didn't know exactly what it was and just held each other tighter.

This video is soul redeeming and refreshing. You can see the steak house on 14th Street across from where the Apple Store is now. Mentioning Apple is a buzz kill though. You see where the problem is today? Things like Apple. You can see Prince lumber, where it was until recently where everything that was kind of too big of a lot got taken like The McDonalds on 10th Ave and that really good diner like around 43rd and 10th, and some other things like that. You can also see the Manhattan Mini storage that is still there. I think you can see the one by Chelsea Piers. We, as a people, have been so negatively affected by computers and all that garbage like cell phones and reality tv and identity politics. The Rupaul of 1987 was completely different to the one of 2018.

It's amazing to me how much the meat packing district had changed!! How much NY has changed. It's lost its edge that it once had... at least I think. When I used to go to NY around this time period there was just something to the city that's gone today. To homogenized!

What people don't realize is that there is not such thing as sex on the other side. I think we all are gay, yes even my own mother I told her this and my theory is that whatever we are attracted to on the other side is also attracted here. I mean who makes up the rules anyway of attraction and the raw nature of human beings.
