I think its cause the animators used some of the motions from the actual singers when they were singing, perhaps they have a specific way that they like to move when they do a note or something(Hand motions, foot movement, etc) I think the mainly planned part was lauren’s entrance. Im also horrible at explaining things so lets just hope that you understand what I’m trying to say😓

@@Em_hiroki They actually rotoscoped most of the performance scenes in the anime, which is kind of like a 2D version of motion capture where they take live action video and they trace over it. Very common practice when a character is playing a musical instrument since there are a lot of small complex movements that go into that.

She always failed to hit the intro of their live performance. But I love her voice when she did it perfectly in recording. Actually I really love the quality of Carole's voice and also Flora... They are my favorite singing voice of that anime series.

while making the anime, they used the actions of the singers to draw and direct the actual scenes! that’s why they look super similar and all their actions sorta match what they do here because they were used as a design for the characters!

I'm trying to figure it out because I'm not 100% sure... Do they switch out who does the low harmony depending on who did the verse lead? Like does Nai do the higher part through the first chorus and then switches to harmony for the second?

Nope, Nai (Carole's singer) does all the lower harmony any time she isn't singing solo. It sounds like Lauren (Crystal's singer) is doubling up on the lower harmony during the final choruses as well.
