After the Pulse: Full Album

After the Pulse officially releases on February 7, 2025, but that likely means it will hit the streaming platforms at 9 PM Pacific Standard Time on February 6th.
I put together this video to celebrate the event with a Listening Party right here on my KZbin channel, with the album to commence streaming at 9. I suspect you will be able to find the tracks elsewhere at that time, but if you feel like hanging out in chat with me while the whole thing plays for the second time, please join me!
The video is simplicity itself: a slideshow of concept sketches created by the wonderful artist Spike Milliken as we worked through ideas and arrived at the final cover for After the Pulse. There are no surprises in the video, it just loops and loops, so you can take your eyes off the screen and listen...or I guess chat.
The title speaks to an imaginary apocalypse in which, following an EMP event, all the networks go down and we are forced to fall back on memories stored the old fashioned way--in our cruddy unreliable brains. And whatever instruments we can coax to put forth a sound. But there are other sorts of pulse, of course. The pulse of music, the pulse of a heart, the pulse of a life or a love. After those fall still...what?
