We had a bad storm Thursday night in Pearl. Lots of trees down and some snapped in two. Large trees with solid trunks. Winds over 80 mph. Our power was out for about 48 hours. I am glad to see your garden in such good shape. You can tell that the Danny corn has acclimated to your area.

My blackberries, elderberries, raspberries and strawberries look amazing this year. We staked up some wild black raspberries that came up along our barn by the driveway so we didn’t drive on them. God planted those! I just helped them survive.

This year, y’all are being blessed with abundance and your labors are bearing fruit. That the storm brought y’all rain, electroculture, and no major damage is an answer to fervent prayers. I’m continuing to pray for y’all to receive more moisture to replenish your groundwater and ponds. Did your hay get put up safely before the storms started?

The best tomato harvest I ever had was a year I couldn’t weed the garden after planting. I always joke that the weeds held them off of the ground.

Hi Danny and Wanda. Nice to see those chicks. I only have 5 and a little hesitant to add more. Mine are a little more territorial than I care for but they lay me some eggs. I'm glad you got a good bit of rain there. I relate to nothing being flat. I am constantly having to grade things to get water to drain to where I want it. I heard you had really hot temps there yesterday. Those tomato plants are really taking off. Good got the army worms. That is something i don't have here thankfully. A couple years ago before they started spraying so heavy and things grew I only had possums and racoons trying to eat my tomatoes. Yeah your Danny Corn wasn't affected by the wind and is standing pretty tall. And no grass. LOL those welfare cows are saying here we are and feed us. I'm glad your both well and everything is growing so well. Continued rich blessing to you and all you put your hands too 😀

Danny I use cotton gin trash or hulls on my garden that's composted for 2 years and it makes a big difference and makes my garden go crazy! I would think in your area you could get a lot of it! It goes threw a tremendous a amount of heat cooking every thing they put in cotton such as pesticides and herbicides. I've talked to the OSU extention office they tell me it's okay. I've used samples and it shows clean so I'm not afraid of it like cow manure!
