She literally tried to make a baby shower all about her for Instagram and social media post. While yeah some people do that, but with their OWN baby showers. She's not the one pregnant, and she doesn't have rights to change anything without permission. And the fact that she refuse to acknowledge the fact that op had a boy speaks volume. She really wanted a girl, and just didn't want to accept the fact, it's a boy not a girl she dreamed to have. She is toxic, and I would suggest keeping her away from the son and future children, especially daughters. Heaven knows what she would do and say to the child when op isn't present.

It must have gotten under skin to see that Luke and Jane were cared for while she [the filth] was seen for the trash she really was

I had a stepmom like this. She, at one point, was my dad's mistress. She never liked me and I didn't like her. When she would get all hoity toity talking about love, honor and respect and all those things, I pointed out that an honorable woman doesn't break up marriages. Of course, it takes two to tango but it was fun watching her face twist up like a quickly aging grape when I called her out on her crap. The abuse started right after the ring went on her finger. First it was emotional, then verbal and sometimes she would slap me on the arm or around my shoulder. One time she went to swing for my face and I ducked away and she ended up hitting the wall. Dad walked in on it. He tried to say that I had started the conflict and I was known for being a drama queen. I was 12 for Christ's sake. When she would sit next to me I would flinch and she put her arm around me and pull away. My dad and my grandparents tried to make it out like I didn't like being touched. Then I would get up and stand away from everyone. They asked me why I was being so difficult. I said “because I feel like she's going to hit me.” You could have heard a pin drop. My dad and my grandparents jumped down my throat while my stepmom sat there looking awkward. They all denied she would ever do that. I yelled back at them: “How the hell would all of you know?” My relationship with my stepmom went from toxic to nuclear after that. It didn't help at all that she still had one daughter who lived at home and she was a total crap starter. She accused me of going in her room. I didn't do that because I respected boundaries but it didn't stop my witch stepsister from stirring the pot. My stepmom got in my face and yelled at me. Then she took a swing at me and this time I couldn't tuck out of the way. She slapped me. I screamed. My dad came running in and he saw me holding me holding my face. My dad went off on his wife. He ranted about how no one was going to treat his kids that way. I decided to butt in and say: "Except for you, right dad?” I went and locked myself in the bathroom. I could hear them screaming at each other. Apparently my stepsister ran out the front door and across the street to the neighbor's house. When I finally came out of the bathroom, it was clear my stepmom had been crying. She had the nerve to say to me and “I hope you're happy.” I said some choice words to her and told her she would never have had to deal with me if she didn't break up my parents and violate the commandant that forbids adultery. She started to take a step towards me and I told her if she laid another hand on me I would call the cops, file a report and have her arrested. She worked for the county and any charges against her would cause her to lose her job. Unsurprisingly, my dad and her split. Apparently it wasn't okay for someone else to abused his kids except for him.

Smacking a child in the face has always been child abuse. Can't believe anybody condones this in any part of the family especially the grandfather. Have a feeling he may be a battered husband & now has no way to get away from her. As he has aged he may even be experiencing early dementia & is afraid he'll be alone if he leaves her. The worst part is she may have transferred all of their funds calls everything into her name and nobody knows this. I've heard of this happening. I'm a former nurse & also Estate / Guardian Trustee for Seniors or medically challenged people. I've even worked on FED & State cases for people who were being financially, physically, verbally emotionally, & cheated by their family members. Having to go to court and testify to protect these people. IT IS HORRIFYING HOW MANY MEN ARE ABUSED BY THEIR WIVES! AND IF THERE ARE CHILDREN STILL IN THE HOME A LOT OF TIMES THAT CHILD IS ABUSING THEIR PARENT. Sad part is My father was an abused husband. That whole thing with Amber Heard it was like listening to my father's life all over again although my father couldn't drink he was allergic to alcohol and he of course didn't do any drugs he was of the greatest generation. A war veteran a gentle quiet man. I was only punished by him three times in my whole life. My father only had to look at me & I'd know I had failed him if I did something wrong. So I never did anything wrong. I was so afraid of hurting his feelings & failing him that I tried really hard no matter what. The difficulty was to do the right thing with her being such a horrible person to control the hate I have for her and not let him down which meant I had to run the house take care of everybody because she wasn't doing anything but getting drunk and abusing us. In the scriptures it says to honor your parents doesn't say to love thy parents. But my mother she was a nightmare she was extremely abusive & controlling. Mentally ill, jealous, narcissistic, bipolar alcoholic mess. She didn't care who she took it out on. It was an awful place to live. Dad tried to get us away. Tried to protect us but I heard her threats. "No one will believe you. No one will believe that I harmed anybody. Look at me I'm too small I'm too weak. I'm sick with rheumatoid arthritis. No one will believe anything you say & they'll think you are a horrible man for abandoning your sick wife. If you turn me in think twice because I will say it was you and you know I can get your daughter your own flesh and blood to testify against you. I'll make sure they know you abused the children. My dad knew what this could entail. This had been done to his youngest brother. It went as far as a serious court case where his stepdaughter testified on the stand. Luckily the defense attorney was good. The girl broke down and admitted her mother had put her up to it saying we'll be able to get the money! Your stepdad will be in jail. We'll get the house & everything else. We'll have a wonderful time. You don't want your mother to go to jail do you for having a baby with his best friend? I fell in love I couldn't help it. Your stepdad just works and never pays attention to me and on the weekend when he should be here he's out hunting well he did that to supplement the family food stores because she spent their money and they had five kids! Yeah, my uncle came home & found his wife in bed with his best friend when he realized he didn't want to go duck hunting alone and his friend had said he was too sick and bowed out that morning. He came home early thinking yeah it'll be nice to just spend the weekend with my kids and wife and the brand new 9-month-old baby instead he finds his best friend in bed with his wife. Unfortunately a blood test proved the baby was not his. It was his best friends. My uncle thought okay I'll get custody of my kids back I won't have a problem here. The court knows I didn't touch my stepdaughter I would never do anything like that. This was before they could test you and make sure that you weren't stimulated by the viewing which is ridiculous because the media has made it so that young men old men everybody even women are stimulated by the viewing of photos now you can't be nothing but stimulated it because the media has changed It's everywhere I mean look at the commercials. They're showing us 13-year-olds who look like 21-year-olds in the pictures. No The state considered where ? smoke there's fire. They took all the kids put them in foster care & the youngest ones were adopted out. Our family was heartbroken. My father was frightened. He was afraid to do anything as he would lose his only bio child as well as she had threatened to destroy my brother and I stating that we were abusing my sister and we would be put in juvie. She would do everything in her power to destroy my brother and I by stating we were stealing etc which was furthest thing from the truth as a matter of fact we were working and had become quite well known in the community as the kids with drive.. Sadly my brother died from his injuries as his brain deteriorated from the injuries as an adult. My father was never able to really look at that fully. It preyed upon his mind. I have known many many people who se fathers or ex-husbands married a woman like this and they ended up being physically abused So I wouldn't be surprised if this poor man made a really horrendous mistake married this tart and she is abusing him and he doesn't know where to go with it. It doesn't condone the actions he's doing but it could also tell us why he's not making good decisions He's scared he's terrified and he also could be thinking I deserve this and I'll just stay here and maybe she'll kill me and that way I won't endanger anybody else.

Stepmother basically called OP's fiance a ho. That Luke is not OP's. If I could talk to OP. and the fiance. I would have them do a DNA test on both OP and Luke. Then show the results to SM and his dad. I would say that the sm does not realize how much OP's dad's side has accepted her. She is unable to see that fact. Thus her jealousy over Jane and Luke is very much unfounded. She is also instinctively hates OP and his sibs due to the fact they give evidence that his dad had relations with their mom. And they do not have any of sm's DNA in them. For all you folks, this is why many step parents have troubles accepting their stepchildren. And why they let their offspring if any to terrorize the offspring they are steps to. Seen this type of action before with an ex-bf of mine. It is why I became leery of ever becoming a stepmom myself. And I had a chance a few decades ago.

I am glad that you realized quite early on that you needed that footage and the nanny cam as well and I'm glad you were smart enough to get seen by the police that she is abusive because this may come in handy in future times when she abuses somebody else's kid and trust me you are not alone. I wish you and your fiance who is hopefully by now your wife a long and happy life.
