I think Whit Smith at that time was probably the fastest picker who could improv at that speed and not lose the melody or simplify the improv at high speed, but rather keep it creative and moving forward and return to the melody. Love The Hot Club and Frank and the Guys. Thx thy

I love these videos of the HCC with the Vignola trio. I can't tell if Frank is bowled over by Elana's technical skill, her musicianship or if he just has trouble standing when she rolls her eyes. Maybe, like me, it's all three.
