The way you arranged this song shows that you are a genius, dear Sandra. I really like the way you arranged phrases three and four. I particularly liked your reaction when you almost lost your pick, between 8:10 and 8:20. Your smile and laughter are so special. Keep swinging and smiling, sweet lady.

Oh, I didn't know that. I knew it was old, though. There is a version from an old Schellack on YT somewhere from the 20s. Wow, that's 100 years ago!

I include them now whenever the number of pages are 2 or 3 without the boxes. Bc after adding the chord boxes the page number doubles and it starts getting really uncomfortable to read through the tune.

Sandra I’ve spent 1 month learning ‘After you’ve gone’ ,still can’t play at speed but know 20 bars.Is this normal or am I just SLOW ? Richard from Devon.
@GuitarversumSandraSherman3 жыл бұрын
It depends. If you don't know the basix jazz chords and the Tension chords, it will take you much longer, becaus you don't really know what you're doing. If you do know these chords it's much easier. But there is also a technical side to it. Try playing one chord change to the next (only one or two bars), but at regular tempo. If you can't do that, you have to work on your technique.

Jazz Chord Melody IS complex. Are you familiar with the jazz comping chords? They're a must-know for playing chord melody. Please check out my 7th chords lesson and my Tension Chords lesson. If you know what you're doing, chord melody becomes a little easier. But yes, it is hard. This song and this arrrangement I did is quiet easy thoug for a jazzer.
