Ms. Sherman: You are the most talented chord teacher in the world. I have been playing since I was 7, now I am 70. And most importantly you care about making sure you work within our minds and limits as you not only teach, but the student learns. I just ran into you through The Christmas Song and now I am going to learn a song of yours a week for a year. May God continue to bless your life.

I like your arrangements because they are technically affordable for an intermediate level. The harmony is not too complex which makes the melody appreciated even by an audience that does not have a jazz ear. That is why I congratulate you on your way of teaching. Greetings from France.

Thank You, Thank You Sandra! You are a marvelous teacher and guitarist. I bet I have over 25 hours invested in learning this arrangement I downloaded the Tabs and need to practice, practice, practice. But it is worth the work. I am retired now and have time to learn. I purchased my first Hollowbody electric guitar recently and I have a question. The Guitar is a D'Angelico Deluxe DC LE and the neck is not very player friendly in my opinion. I purchased the guitar from an on-line dealer and I didn't play before purchase I believe the frets are too high. Do you have an opinion on this guitar? I know your busy but if you find a minute to write back I would appreciate it. If you could recommend a guitar in around the $2,000.00 USD I would look at it.
@GuitarversumSandraSherman3 жыл бұрын
D'Aangelico guitars have a 16" fretboard radius, which is super flat. I could never play those fretboards. Bar chords are very hard to play on such a flat radius. I happen to have a video up called "5 Best Jazz Guitars Under $1000) with a live chat in 90 minutes. I'll be in the live chat for 20 minutes (as long as the video lasts). Great arrangement - I will buy this one as well :) . One question - in the bridge when playing "...Santa's on his way" it seems to be a lower pitch that the original vocal line. Is there another chord voicing that can raise the melody line? Or maybe it's just my old ears LOL
