It says Would rather be absent from the body and present with the Lord, and this is not automatic, it only feels like it because in our state of death, you have no thoughts. The Bible points out that thoughts perish at death. If we automatically go at death, then our thoughts will not have perished.

I was just commenting in regards to his teaching as it is so rich at times and it was sad to see so few people sitting in the pews soaking up the great information for their growth. There are a few things I do not agree with him on in a couple of his teachings but has nothing to do with the MAIN Gospel message so it is a mute point... Even when the Millennial Kingdom ends, I want to know what I'll be doing in the Eternal Order. "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever" (Daniel 12:3, KJV). There is so much more to salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ than going to Heaven!

For me it helps to ponder that time and dimension changes beyond death. God created our linear time line model for our four dimensional experience. God clearly is not confined the same. I think we will understand all that more when we transition /pass.

I have pondered time references as well recently. When I read something like "who was, and is, and is to come" - I think of Past, Generations of Present over time, and Future. When I see "1 day in heaven is 1000 years on earth" - I think of Time Dilation. Someone who is outside of our time constrained system can see all things. What is really sad is how busy Christ is and has been and will continue to be, yet we are selfish and pray to improve our lives instead of praying to help Christ complete his incredible work on our behalf.

I've had my heart stop it's actually what let me know just how real my soul is. I know with all my being God's light that lights every man is also part of Our soul and when we die our conciseness will leave in the actual electricity that's in our bodies. I'm sure you know the meaning of disciples. It took me awhile even after learning how real my soul is to be reborn. I was reborn at 33 I remember the night as I cried my eyes out yet knew that I was accepted by God still even after my sins cause of the blood He Shed. It's a glorious thing to be Reborn into Truth.

You know what, I believe Jesus won't judge us according to how genius we are, that kind of judment will be for the pastors, priests and leaders of the church as Jesus said in Mat 7:21-23. Sometimes these leaders are like the hypocrite leaders during Jesus' time as they are insisting on very 💯% theology. The only things requiered of us is to believe Jesus is the Son of God and become a new person. Good for these geniuses they understand what they read but how come other geniuses also debate them? They make hard for people to enter the kingdom of God by judging them they are wrong in their theology - theology that requires you must have a very high IQ. Jesus made it very simple for us that even those who did not go to college or school can understand:. Believe Jesus is the son of God that he came down to die for us, and become a new creation or be born again. You don't need a college degree to understand that. That's why Jesus warned us to never judge anyone. Angel Gabriel did not even tried to comdemned satan, but only said may the Almighty God do the judgement....

I went to Catholic school after Vatican II. They did not teach us limbo or limbus infantum. They talked about purgatory but did not teach from books. The Bible was used to teach by nuns, priests, and some of the laymen (and women). I notice today the teachings I hear from protestants are resulting in the same biblical results as nuns taught me. The old ways of catholicism are what I hear used to judge Catholics today. My priest encouraged me to learn also from Bible study in non Catholic Christian church. He said they cover more and devote more time to it using all of it. The Catholics told the truth to me, the others who don't really know Catholics say a lot of old information about them. They both have something to teach that the other neglects. A good education comes from multiple sources. You can find out what Catholics do teach by attending on that Sunday where they explain it each year, just as Catholics can attend Bible study, youth group, or services at a non Catholic church. It's the attitudes of people that really keeps them apart and the things that go on with the Vatican that Catholics are just as perplexed about as you are.

I came across some interesting commentary in the past that dealt with this very issue. According to 1 Thes. 5:23, every person has 3 parts; a (spirit), and a (soul), and a (body), not just 2 parts (spirit/soul) and (body) as the guy in the video teaches. When Jesus died on the cross His "spirit" went to the Father (Lk 23:46), His "body" went into the tomb (Matt 27:57-60), and His "soul" went down into the earth, (Eph. 4:9-10). I have it slightly different...you see...Jesus, at the time of his death, went to the same place that all those who die go to. Before Jesus there was no way back...but Jesus snatched the keys of life and death from Satan's hand and henceforth there was a way back...and it all revolves around righteousness, the Ten Commandments, and faith in Jesus. Yes, LUKE means SALVATION. After the body iodizes, it reaches a state of elevation. What is crummy about it is that most people are paralyzed in their body for awhile, waiting for the BRIDGE. It comes for all God's children, however it can't reach Heaven unless family sucks your sinful nature out!!!

Could it be that The Lord calls Death "Sleep" because he and he alone can by his power "awaken people out of the sleep of death, as in the bible when Jesus went to raise Lazarus who was in the tomb, and Jesus said that Lazarus was asleep and when questioned, he said plainly "Lazarus is dead" and then Jesus raised him from the dead, because Jesus is God! They are one and the same!!!

Correct there is no such thing as soul sleep the soul is dead not asleep and only Jesus can resurrect a person and bring them back to life
