I really liked this season , great script, great acting ( as always ) , great depth. Nobody saw the Allison thing coming . However , they managed the situation excellently , never felt rushed.

Death Cab for Cutie, "What Sarah Said" was the song in the background for this episode. It was song by the collage kids at the beginning of this episode and at the end. The song is about someone dying and watching them die in a hospital. And that the greatest thing you can do for someone that you love is be with them as they die. Perfect song for the episode. My favorite band and one of my favorite shows. It was great!

S4 was 100 times better than S3, I'm so thankful for that and Josh stole the show for me this season. He was incredible and made me feel everything Cole was feeling.

Me too!!! It got me stressed out! In the first episode of this season (if I'm not mistaken), she walks like that on her balcony, and that image is then repeated in the opening credits. I thought it was foreshadowing off the worst. But now I think she's going to be just fine. It was just a bowl of fresh, she's good.

Loved the episode and really the entire season. My favorites season since season 1 & 2. One thing I found very interesting was that the show started with the affair of Noah & Allison, and this episode addressed the resolution and moving forward of the original married couples.

Re: panel agreeing that Anton was out of line in that seminar: “This dude did a lot for you” is part of the problem “underserved” kids deal with...how much does obligation outweigh being authentic about your perspective and the reality of all things. Also, good call about a taste of Noah’s medicine! Absolutely, Anton is learning from Noah how to navigate system inequalities and play the game. Anton straight up said he was reading Noah’s book on the plane and Noah gave Jannelle similar advice and highlighted how he discounts how the privileged treat him, he puts up with it and capitalizes on it. So Anton was just learning from Noah, a man he looks up to and trusts. Love I found you guys...too bad it’s after the show ended but I’ll catch up on your latest shows!

Sarah Treem said in a recent Showtime interview (about Allison's death) that although all the characters now believe it's suicide, "the audience is the only one who will ever know the truth." So it doesn't sound like they will address it as a murder mystery in season 5.

Same, I never understood that either, nor why every woman throws herself at Noah. With Allison, I think she attracts a certain type of man. There are those who can spot a victim or damaged individual and they take advantage. I think that is who she attracts.

I didn't like the ending.. Allison wasn't supposed to die..she and cole still have some unfinished business together... Where is the justice there?...is she really gone for good?

Better than S3 by some margin, but I didn't think it was great. Ever since late season 2 there is too much turned into text. Characters tell you what they are all about. These past two seasons also had the easiest twists, both heavily involving instances of the "it was all a dream" variety. I'd much rather have no twists than such obviously telegraphed ones. Then again, this season's twist was kinda necessitated by Ruth Wilson having to be written off the show. Also, I have to say it as bluntly as this...I don't give a shit about Vik. I didn't care for pretty much anything on Helen's side of the story. Sierra is a terrible character. Seeing all this play out after Alison's death, I felt nothing at all. Joshua Jackson is still MVP.
