Reverse comfort audios are the real emotion hitters. VA's know how to set and act the whole thing out so well. It's heartbreaking because some have been in this type of situation before but the execution is fantastic. Great work Afterglow, have a great day!

A while back, I saw one of my friends pacing back and forth in the front stairwell of our school, so I went and told her she was stressing me out and her response was…well “Well I am stressed out of my mind since everyone seems to think I’m their PERSONAL THERAPIST!!!” This led to us sitting on the stairs, talking, and her inevitably crying which frankly broke my heart, I’d never seen her cry before, never, seeing her break down hurt me so much I almost started crying as I hugged her As for her issues, it was essentially her boyfriend not exactly being the most patient with her issues, her mother being a control freak, and her friends all talking about considering suicide because of their issues which they ended up dumping on my friend Simple advice: “Well, for your boyfriend, I suggest explaining it to him, and if he doesn’t get it, maybe take a break, don’t BREAK UP, but just take some more time off from one another, your mom is a tough one, but you can at least let her know why it’s bothering you, and as for your friends, you aren’t their therapist, I don’t mean to offend you but you’re a smart girl, smart enough to know you’re too dumb to help them and that they’ll need professional help, and if they aren’t willing to get it, then well, I think of life as a marathon, and if they don’t seek professional help, then they won’t reach the finish line and there’s nothing you can do to stop that. Stop, take a breather, and leave it at that” Only one of the friends was serious about their suicidal thoughts, she did take a break with her boyfriend which helped both of them immensely and she ended up moving out from her mom which greatly helped her mental state That was the first time I saw her cry, and I hope to god that one day she won’t have to cry out of sadness again, that nobody hurts her again If you guys are wondering, yes I did have a thing for her, yes I did confess, no we never dated, yes we are still good friends I’m actually glad she and I never got together, I don’t really think I’d be a good boyfriend, and I think she definitely dodged a bullet by not liking me back ALSO, I was her first friend in high school, and in her words, these are HER words “I don’t think I would’ve gotten as many friends as I did if you didn’t at least show me that there were cool people here who wouldn’t treat me badly” ALSO ALSO she did one day thank me over text for not only befriending her for the sake of dating her or because she was attractive or anything like that End of the day, I’m glad she and I are still friends and despite my feelings, I don’t think I’d ever want to change a thing

This kinda hits home for me, my girlfriend cheated on me and told me that she has been losing feelings for the past few months in our relationship and this was out of blue when I thought everything was fine, and I thought she may of been going through something and just needed time to think and that we could work it out but she was already in a relationship with the guy a day later and blocked all communication from me we were in a relationship for a year and three months my longest relationship and the happiest one so it really hurt and I loved her with everything I had I'm sorry for the rant but this is strangely comforting and wished I was the girl in the video, I wish someone would of been there for me and wish I had people crushing on me, but once again I got left behind for them too meet someone new

Honestly, I could see this being one of those where they don't get together at the end of the story. After what happened between her and her ex as well as her leaving him out to dry for years, they come to a mutual agreement that romance isn't worth risking their friendship. They support each other in their romantic endeavors with others and act as a shoulder to cry on for one another when they need it, but the flames of romance never burn between them. But I could just as well see the ending being romantic, so hindsight's 50-50.

This is really good. You’ve got a great voice, and you clearly have really good control over it. Your diction seems natural and clear. The emotional changes throughout the video are subtle as they should be in a video like this, but still clearly expressive. My suggestion is if you’re comfortable in front of a camera, consider acting in general. If you’re more comfortable off the camera, consider voice acting.

The western school tropes were always funny to me. Like there's always the "popular" peeps who often look down upon either the poor peeps or the nerd folks etc Then there's the nerd or group of nerds who get picked on or bullied for absolutely no reason whatsoever The 'cool guy/girl' who doesn't give a f about any of it, tries to be edgy but is actually either wholesome or an ass, sometimes bit of both - typically seated in the back rows. Way back in my school times the whole class got along pretty well - with few exceptions where sometimes someone had an argument about something and changed friend groups but in the end always reconciled with their old pals. There was no chasms between nerds, populars or rebels or nothing People had their groups they usually hanged out with most of the time but they were also friendly to the other groups. Sometimes the groups intermingled, person went to hang out with those other peeps for w bit etc. Hell there barely was disparity between "nerds" "populars" etc cuz the popular kids were just as likely to be nerds as the quiet kids were chatty and outgoing as long as someone engaged them directly I mean ofc there was bullies, there's always bullying - but that stops pretty early. It's only the younger kids that are usually this braindead. Rant aside, it's a lovely audio, very soothing voice. The girl deserves a hug, sounds like she could use it.
