I just did full exhaust on my 2003 and used a 330 ohm resistor on each pig tail for the O2 sensors and it runs excellent.

I have a triumph street triple with a k&n air filter on stock exhaust and I have the exact situation you describe. I am going to try this too, thank you so much.

I recently did this mod on my KTM 690 Duke, so far only a slight improvement but apparently it takes a while for the ECU to settle down after the delete has taken place.

My 2016 Yamaha MT07 started surging from 20 km.h to 90 km.h. It had me baffled. Idlling she is smooth as. Then a mate said look at your exhaust O2 Sensor...cleaned that sucker up and now it's surges way way less. Ordered a O2 Sensor Eliminator and will install that when it arrives. Tx for your video

Did it work ? My 2017 mt 07 goes off when idle especially when I want to decelerate and make a turn or overtake a car , and it doesn’t start back till after 4- 5 tries , it also goes off when I start it to warm up , do you know if it’s the 02 sensor , I changed my exhaust to M4
@AdrianFourie Жыл бұрын
@@donmo625 the Oxygen sensor was definitely 90% the problem. The last 10% was the chain binding up. New chain and sprocket sorted that problem. Not sure if it is the same as your problem. Try disconnecting the Oxygen sensor. I did that and it did run smoother after that.

Thanks for your reply ? I removed the 02 sensor today and tried to block it with ohms resistor but the problem is still the same , I got new battery today too but still the same .

Seems like the flap valve is a step towards vtec and if the air sensors are used at 6 thousand revs that's the area where vtec kicks in in later models

Worked for you, great, but should not be seen as general advice. Would be interesting to get different exhaust pipe temps under controlled conditions.

Did the performance issues and the horrible rideability exist with the stock exhaust system?

mate you can done two conflicting videos?? the first you say use two 330ohm resistors to plug into the wiring connectors? then you come out with a video saying use a delete kit?

do you think the cause could be that the bike goes into closed loop mode. I've read up on this a little bit. And I believe the fueling does 'something' different when it comes to "highway riding." which sounds similar as to what you mentioned, constant RPM I don't have enough experience to conclude I'm having the same issues but good video, and thanks for the informative vid!
@vfourcruza77443 жыл бұрын
It's most definitely that, my man. The resistor tricks the bike into thinking the o2 sensor is working fine when in fact it's not getting a reading, so the bike goes back to its default map (which is a little rich, so if you have a problem with that you might need a power commander anyway)
@dailylife39752 жыл бұрын
My 2004 vfr800 does that at steady throttle it surges and sounds like it's running lean no power mis firing then when u Crack the throttle a little it wakes up

Would a slight exhaust gasket leak cause mess with the o2 sensor you think
@eric62backstrom9 ай бұрын
Because it sucks air in to the exhaust and that air messes with the sensor reading
@jasoncarthew22799 ай бұрын
@eric62backstrom would that cause the engine to run rich or lean

How do you find the 5th gen VFR compared to the VFR 800 F and the CBR 650? Which one do you prefer? Own a 5th gen myself :)
@vfourcruza77443 жыл бұрын
If I had to pick, out of the three I prefer the VFR 800 F over the Fi and the CBR (The CBR just feels small and nothing more than a toy), however the Fi has such a great sound and the power output is almost identical to the F (minus the VTEC obviously). Honestly though, I'm a little biased because I absolutely love the VFR in all its weird sizes and shapes.

I’ve got a similar flat spot issue on my 98 model after replacing the headers (still have the standard silencer). Just wondering what my options are to try and solve this.
@vfourcruza77443 жыл бұрын
I would try removing the o2 sensor from the picture and seeing what happens, if you're still having issues then investing in a power commander might be a viable option depending on your budget.

No O2 sensor on my 98 VFR, and yep fuel controller the next option, but I’m struggling to get hold of a PC3 USB. Cheers.
