As for the 40 S&W Gen5, the locking lugs are like those on the Gen5 9mm barrels but the barrel itself, and slide, are bigger. The Gen5 .40 barrels have a larger diameter than previous generations so there will not be good fitment with earlier Gen barrels in the newer Gen5 .40's

my double diamond g23 barrel fits gen5 g23 gun but when chambng a roun it doesn’t full lock into battery, the chamber hood sits a bit low when it should sit close to flush with top of slide. maybe other aftermarket barrels work but my dbl diamond will stay in the gen 3. i won’t attempt a testfire seeing how it isn’t properly fully locking. NOW it’s possible the extractor is not right on my gen 5 gun. its sticky extraction even factory ammo factory barrel and this might be the cause of the gun not fully in battery with double diamond aftermkt barrel, may be a case of compounding tolerance errors between not quite fitting barrel and bad extractor. with oem barrel lockup’s is fine but extraction is not as smooth as id like and likely i’ll replace the extractor n spring n plunger soon

Yes double diamond bbl is narrower then oem gen5/g23 bbl but that is not a concern

i procured a glock conversion barrel from bca (9mm for a g22) however, i have been wanting a conversion barrel for one of my glocks for a while and once i foundout bca carried them, i knew that was where i wanted to procure mine frfom. with all the kickass products they offer, i have been mostly impressed with their barrels more than all the other fantastic offerings. i can oly speak to the one that i have, but for whatever reason, there is no point of impact shift, its kinda odd, i figured there would be a bit of a difference. but its dead on accurate, and one of the best purchases ive made. so far ive been extremely impressed with all my purchases from bca. i always mention bca when im talking to people in the gun store that i work at. ive only had one nay sayer, but by the time he left, he was pretty convinced. i even offered to take him to the range on my dime, and let him compare either my Daniel defense or any ar of his choice to ANY of my bca options. and see if his opinion held after the range trip. (it would be a free range day at the least) he still hasnt taken me up on it. but i think he was going on ignorance, simply because he had never heard of bca before. just because you havent heard of a company dosent mean they arent a reputable company.

@@Latrinecleaner yeah gen 4 or 5 are impossible to find. mine is a gen 3. i prefer the gen 3 on all my glocks, simply because of the simplicity, and they share alot of the same parts. so that if one goes down i can salvage parts, if i dont already have a backup, in the event of the worst case scenario. but gen 4-5 are gonna be tricky to source. however if i locate one ill hit you up here.

I know they say 40cal - 9mm conversion doesn’t work in gen 5 but is that actually true? I used to put my gen 4 19 barrel in my 27 (both gen 4) and worked like a charm. I have since sold both and now only have a gen 5 27 edc. Would a gen 4 19 barrel work in my gen 5 27?

9mm & 40 barrels are different diameters. You’d have to change the slide & barrel to convert caliber.

@@dancarter7009 that’s why I should’ve gotten a gen 3/4. The wall of the 40 s&w barrel is thinner than the 9mm. That’s the only difference in gen 3/4. The outside diameter of the barrel on both are the same. The inside barrel diameter is what changes to adjust for caliber size. If I would’ve known that, I would’ve kept my gen 4 and never gotten a gen 5.

I had a gen 4 19 and would use that barrel In my 27 and it worked fine. Now I only have a 27 gen 5 and curious if buying a gen 4 9mm barrel would or wouldn’t work. Any info help yall. Ty

@5N3K93 the only positive imfo I've found is from KKY They said they can make me a conversion barrel for 200 That plus 2 or 3 mags and a possible extractor.... I might just buy a 9mm .... still up in the air with it all. But lone wolf , bear creek, and aimssurplus all said they don't have anything for the gen 5 as of last week

@@Atrayedd yep, it should work I swapped, my G19X barrel with my g19 gen 3/4 and it fits perfectly, the only problem is that glock barrels come with the serial of the gun, so if you swap them the serial of the barrel with not match the gun serial(no legal problems, is just that some people are picky with it) but yes they are swappable...

Only took me 3,000 for my barrel to lose all integrity for accuracy. Foot large groups from a bench, not joking. Gen 5 barrels are dooty water.
