Just to touch up on the second myth, remember, regardless of any firearm, when it comes to hunting, it all depends on shot placement. A good friend of mine took down a whitetail deer, I can't remember if it was a buck or a doe, but he used his ar 15 in 223 and took it down at about +200 yds. That and I've seen plenty of people here on KZbin use an ar 15 in 223 to take down deer. Now, of course, if you don't practice your aim enough, then go with a larger round and caliber, but then again, it's critical to practice your aim and shot placement.

What about AR 18? What is the difference with this particular rifle?

I am proud to say that I am a brand new owner of a bear Creek arsenal 20 inch right side charging handle AR 15 chambered in 5.56 full complete rifle. And not only looks beautiful, but it performs flawless. It did not come with any magazines, so I paired it with lancer 30 round capacity magazines it performed excellent. I am also practically that I will be purchasing a full complete bear Creek Arsenal 22LR rifle in the next few weeks with the quality of the 556 rifle I am sure, the 22LR rifle will perform just as nice.

I dont have a bearclaw. But my BCA upper with 10.5" barrel has functioned great so far. Took a few shots running wet with oil for break-in. But after that, its been fine.

I've had one for two years. Swap out the BCA firing pin (prone to breakage) and hammer spring (FCG). Black Rifle Company makes and enhanced firing pin, and heavier hammer spring for steel case/ Russian military ammo to cure light primer strikes. I upgraded to a Geissele Super 42 spring and H2 buffer. The investments made a SMOOTH flatter shooting rifle that won't wear out your shoulder at the range. I REALLY like the right side charging setup. I bought a spare bolt only with modified extractor for 7.62 cases. Oh, it is 1 MOA all day long at 100yrd and sub MOA at 50yrd (supported). It "wanders" beyond 300yrd..but that's more likely "the shooter." IF you can't tell..I LIKE shooting it. It is one of three BCA rifles I own.

I have a x36 standard charging I bought several years ago, I had to modify the firing pin but it was stainless steel, the bolt sheared a lug off at around 1500 rounds, they replaced it and the entire carrier, the new firing pin broke in less than a magazine, it seemed to be nitride coated, not good for a firing pin, I still had my original firing pin so I swapped it in, less than 2 mags in the extractor broke?? Never had a problem with the original bolts extractor. So I bought another aftermarket extractor, and a spare bolt, its a great rifle I've shot a few deer with it and they don't like 125gr sp at all. It shoots moa with some ammo and close to with basically any ammo, quite impressive for the price. My only complaint is customer service isn't what it used to be, and they seem to be using cheaper materials for the firing pins and extractor.

I mean, I guess if you're using it over a pistol shooting, nothing past 7 yards, but as just a range toy, I totally approve

So, I bought the BCA .17HMR upper, attached to a Franklin Armory lower. The 10 round mags from Black Dog feed the round well, no issues, but the 23 round mags jam on every shot. Mag issue? Buffer issue? I'll listen to any input.

Lmao. Just because you sell a ton of cheaply made products does not make it the best. It just means you are preying on the poor and working class people. It is not about arming the public with reliable firearms. If it were the case, your QC would be better than what it is. Every firearm I have had from Bear Creek either went back, or I had to fix it myself. Never had one to actually work or stay together straight from the factory.
