its been a year but ill still give some advice for the future lol you should change your stove to a gas instead of electric always keep a line cap if you have city gas that way you can unhook the stove from the city supply and hook it to a propane tank and cap off the city supply inside just for saftey even tho the gas will cut off outside we are in Florida where this can happen at anytime a gas stove is like a miracle in these situations

Scariest night of my life. I live in Orlando and we got hit really hard. This was the second hurricane that I was old enough to remember and it was terrifying. The entire time it sounded like a train was going over our house. I was at my grandparent's house and the power line caught on fire and exploded. I couldn't even sleep because I was afraid a tree would fall on the house or that the roof would be blown away. People like to say Floridians are used to hurricanes but they are seriously dangerous.

i am so glad you are safe. last night for us was absolute hell, even just being in Central Florida. Our window actually busted open while we were sitting in the hallway due to 110mph winds. Our shed was in ruins, we had to dismantle it during the day since it was all across our yard but had to unscrew the final pieces. as well as a knocked down fence and flooding.
