Aftermath of war in Europe - The West vs. the Global South

ECDPM and ETTG hosted a discussion at the ECDPM Brussels office, with Len Ishmael, former Ambassador, Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South and ECDPM programme.
She presented her book 'Aftermath of war in Europe - The West vs. the Global South'. The book looks at how countries of the Global South view the current period of successive crises brought about by COVID-19 and the war against Ukraine.
Co-authors Christian Bachmeier and Kevin Verbelen, provided specific geographic and thematic perspectives, and ECDPM’s Geert Laporte facilitated the discussion.

The sooner Western Europe abandons its Neo-colonial policies and practices in regards to the developing world the relations and co-operation with the Global South might improve . Europe has to deal with its legacy of slaving , colonialism , apartheid , Neo-colonialism , and post-colonial while gloved apartheid , deliberate sabotage of development efforts by the Global South , … so , this is only a partial listing of Euro-American imperial sins . It is high time that Euro-American imperial condominium learns most elementary lessons of decent behaviour , the days of gun-boat diplomacy and unilateral sanctions are not going to be tolerated any more , simple as that . Global governance is not to be the prerogative of the west any more , and economic gangsterism by the west will not be tolerated any more . NATO WAR AGAINST RUSSIA IS BUT ONE SYMPTOM OF A MUCH GREATER CLASH THAT IS COMING , IF THE WEST INSISTS TO MAINTAIN ITS IMPERIALIST WAYS - SUCH AS -RULES BASED WORLD ORDER - , BELIEVE ME THAT WILL NOT DO GENTLEMEN…! The west must recognize that it no longer has monopoly on a -Gatling gun - , and it is no longer the strongest , the richest , or the prettiest , the sooner it gets these facts thru its head the better for it , and if it refuses to adapt to new realities it will die of a thousand cuts.
