Michael McKinnon - Well said! I agree 100% I loved that video along with his awesome/badass/hilarious cartoons. He's a great artist, and while the cartoons may not have been the most hilarious I've ever seen, they were still really funny, especially considering he was basically freestyling them. And he was just trying to tell a story. All while trying to simultaneously tell us about it and record it all at the same time. Needless to say, I really enjoyed the video, and I thought the cartoons were badass. Most of all, as someone who draws, does pastels, and other arts, I enjoyed seeing the process of how he goes about doing those cartoons.

Wth? You do realize the world isn't black n white right? Loving _everything_ some is, does and stands for, unconditionally, just isn't a thing. Some here might have a lot of respect and love for Joe and his "thing" here. but not be a fan of every format he experiments with. Some may objectively recognize his cartoon/drawing talent, while still not being a fan of (this type of) cartoons. And there is nothing wrong with that - honestly, personally I think Joe would rather know his audience would keep it real if thats the case, rather than receive a bunch of false praise and brown-nosing. How else would he know what the audience likes and doesn't like? This is a job too you know. And if you wanna get paid for your work, you need a grip on what works for your audicence and not. As a KZbinr, some times your personal preferences and those dominant among your audience, don't line up. And Joe deserves honest feedback, so that he may make a well-informed decision on how to balance that, should such a situation arise. Not being down with illustration vids, does *not* mean not being down with Joe, being impatient or ungrateful. It _could_ - but Joe _could_ be a cop, too. Its just somehow very unlikely, and a pretty unreasonable assumption. Its perfectly ok to have differing preferences, likes and taste. What's _not_ ok, is being an a**hole about it.

Joe, I LOVED the cartoon video! And, as someone who also loves to draw, use pastels, and mostly do "mixed-media" art projects that combine colored pencils, oil pastels, soft pastels, pens, and markers, it was truly fascinating and enjoyable to watch you do your thing and analyze how you go about your art process. When it comes to art, and especially watching other artists, the thing I'm most interested in is learning how exactly other artists go about their artistic process. How they draw/sketch and if they do any sort of practice sketch; how/if they color the object before or after outlining that object; how they go about starting a piece, and so on and so forth. So yeah, anyway, I thought the Cartoon/Lifestory video was badass, it was entertaining, it was educational, it was funny, and I'd definitely like to see more of them! Screw the haters who thought it was "too long" or whatever. Those are the same people that can't/won't/have never in their whole damn life taken the time to sit down and read a book or maybe even just draw or paint or something. They're also the same people who complain when someone writes a comment that's longer than a sentence or two and complains about it being a damned "novel." I call these people the "Twitter Generation," because they don't have the attention span, nor the desire, to read anything beyond 142 characters, which, in addition to being the approximate length of a sentence or two, it's also the limit for how many characters one can use in a Twitter post, thus, it seems, an entire generation has emerged that things reading is "stupid" and "boring," and, as I said before, anytime a post/comment/reply begins to exceed the whopping 142 character limit, these people become impatient, they begin to panic, beads of sweat start to accumulate on their face, and finally, they develop an immediate hatred for the literate poster/commenter, and they will inevitably post a response stating something along the lines of, "Damn... Ain't no way I'm reading that novel. That's dum AF," or "Get a life, how long did it take you to write that. I didn't come here to read a fking essay." Despite the fact that it took me maybe 5, 10 minutes tops to write it, and it would only take them maybe a minute or two to read it. But oh well.
