I am a 53 year old gma who takes.care.of everyone. You make my day. I am really a caregiver by trade, but I also have strays. Right now I have my clients grand daughter and two great grand children. It's all good, but her boyfriend is what you described as a kingpin prisoner. He ain't there now, but he's got about 2 more seconds under my roof. I gave the granddaughter till the end of the month to figure it out. CPS and courts and all that crap. You keep me going. Sebastian Sotelo I was doing time over marijuana and they put me in a cell with a guy who had horrible farts. And he would do a weasely laugh every time he farted which pissed me off. Every morning they'd feed us 2 hard boiled eggs and bread. The eggs made his farts unbearable so I told him he wasn't allowed to eat anymore eggs and took them for myself every day. It sounds mean but I had no choice. It was either take his eggs or kick his ass so they'd put me in another cell.

The coolest prison guard I ever met was named Piper. He was a former Marine Corp Drill Sargent. Like R Lee Ermy in Full Metal Jacket. He never wrote anyone a misconduct report. If he caught you breaking the rules he made you do 100 push-ups for minor misconduct, 1000 if it was a major misconduct. If someone was asleep and late for work, he would yank the mattress off the bed with the inmate on it, instead of writing them up for being late. If any inmate talked shit like "If you didn't have that radio and badge I'd beat your ass", he would fight them if they really wanted to fight him. He never threatened inmates, but if an inmate threatened him, he would accept the challenge. He would take off his radio and panic button and lock them in the office, then he would fight the inmate. He always won. One time I was walking past the TV room and he was fighting/wrestling 5 guys. They had his legs and one arm held, but couldn't get his right arm and he was punching them. Every time he punched one, they would get knocked off and another would grab the arm or leg. He also ran a store. You could borrow shit, but had to pay him on store day. He kept everything in a locker. Every year at Christmas he would give all the profits away, so every inmate in his housing unit got a bunch of cookies, chips, honey buns, and all that type of stuff. He was really cool, never wrote a misconduct, so you never lost good time or got locked down. This type of guard is not common. I think he may have been the only guard like that. I never met another guard like him. I was at Western Wayne Correctional Facility in 1999 and 2000. All the guards were from Detroit. There were hookers working as guards. You could get laid if you had your people send them $300. The guards smuggled everything you wanted in, if you could afford it. Scratch off and weekly lottery tickets, drugs, needles, crack pipes, lighters, real tattoo equipment, cell phones, anything you wanted if they could fit it in their pocket and carry it in, and you could afford it, you could get it. The guard in my housing unit who worked nights would sleep his entire shift. He would sit at the guard desk and lean forward on the desk and sleep all night. He never did any rounds to check the cells and make sure nothing crazy was going on.
