They were not in Type Lumina because Type Lumina is set in Tsukihime timeline (10 days before the new Tsukihime game iirc), not Melty Blood timeline (which happens in the non-existent Satsuki's route) but since this is a Melty Blood game, it might be possible for Sion and Ries to make it as non-canon DLC Characters, just like Saber (Arthur)
