You should watch the Paedophile Episode, it was aired in 2001 (about 5 years after the original series). It caused absolute carnage in the U.K. media who completely missed the fact that it was the media themselves, and their sensationalist style of reporting, that was being made fun of.

@Josh . . . . Did you know Chris Morris has a very 'wine stained' face (birth defect), I used to see him around the west end of London quite a bit when I worked there, it's pretty cool that he's never let it bother him or slow him down, it's just covered up with makeup when he's in character / on screen . . . but Google 'Chris Morris face' and you'll see what I mean . . . I don't know much about the condition but I have noticed it change over the years, when I used to pass him in the street it was much more solid, great big patches of deep red, I've also see him when it's much more patchy . . . anyhow, interesting fact, and cool to see someone rise above something that would keep a lot of people away from that line of work.

@reactions57833 жыл бұрын
The last part that you didn't enjoy so much was probably because without knowing who those people are , it loses a lot of its impact. Those were well known TV personalities who were asked to read those lines out, after supposedly being tricked into doing so (the same as when Sacha Baron Cohen does a similar thing to prominent figures). So, if they were well known American celebrities who had been punked, you might have found it a bit funnier.

@weirds0up3 жыл бұрын
The show got a lot of stick because they make the celebrities on the show look like idiots. Usually, when it's a 1 on 1 interview, that's Morris taking the piss out of the person he interviews, such as the whole Batman bit in this episode
@neilsun25213 жыл бұрын
It didn't get 'cancelled' exactly. The last episode was a one-off episode that caused an avalanche of faux virtue to come pouring out of the media the next day.
@travisbickle20043 жыл бұрын
I like Brass Eye but it’s weakest parts for me are the famous guests, they’re often clearly reading from a teleprompter or card and so the comedy just falls flat. The Day Today is the superior show I think.
@KitsyX Жыл бұрын
The comedy with the celebrities isn't so much what they are saying, but that they've been tricked into it... They aren't just reading that stuff out as part of a comedy show, they think they are on a serious program about the issues they are talking about... They've bought into some ridiculous con, which should be obvious, based on the nonsense they are saying... If I remember correctly, a politician who was on the drugs episode legit brought cake up in parliament after filming >_
