Maybe the physicality of the league is the problem for him. I remember a pires interview where he said he thought he'd made a mistake choosing Arsenal and the Premier league over Real Madrid and la liga, purely to the sheer physicality of the games. He had to hit the gym and change his regime to focus on strength and power, and he then adapted his game. Similar to older players having longevity in other leagues. Especially spain and Italy. The Premier league breaks players literally.

We basically did not have Partey almost the entire season this season and he's just not reliable anymore. He was poor against United and Everton. We can do much better. He's past it. Of course he's gonna be replaced. We have been linked with Guimares and Amadou Onana is also one name that has been brought up. It's probably high up in Edu and Arteta's list.

I think Turkish is taking it too far with shipping injured players. The issue is that our overall squad is not where it needs to be and that is why historically, injuries have hurt us. This season, we actually had the squad to cover Timber and Partey and even Jesus. I personally would keep Partey even if it mean letting him go for free. I he can repeat the 22/23 season and play 30 league games, there are VERY few players available who can perform at his level. Id try get him on a one year extension with an option for another year (triggered by the club) at lower wages - say 150k. He is only 31 and has 2 to 3 more years in this team. Even if he plays as a rotational option for all League Cup and FA cup plus 15 PL games

Injuries didn't hurt us that much. Partey,Jesus and Zinchenko are injury prone. Timber was unlucky other than that we had pretty much a fit squad. Why would we keep Partey when he simply can't stay fit? Arteta already said we need to have a squad of players. Who he can count and depend on. Partey can't even stay fit to be available for selection. We have had water carriers in Elneny already. To go the next step you need to get rid of dead weight. We literally played 98% of the season and fared well without Partey. He should be sold if a decent offer comes in for him. Time to operate like a serious club not on sentimental feelings. He is good but not that good. The difference is If we didn't have Rice,Saliba or Martin O. How were we going to cope?Those guys were pivotal to our season. Partey simply wasn't. If a player isn't missed during a campaign then he certainly isn't important. And we certainly didn't miss Partey now did we?

I love Partey but i am so sad that each time the team needs him most, he's never there. There are not too many midfielders of his quality around. Besides he progresses the ball better than most of his mate. But he's ever available. I will not risk him again for next season. I am very sad he will be leaving, but the club is doing the right thing for the general good. Onana of Everton is good, but does he progress the ball in btw lines like Partey? I don't think so. But at least he will be available to play. I trust Arteta to bring in the right player

Onana is not really that good of a profile match with Partey, good destroyer breaking up play after losing possession, but technically and tactically he couldn’t lace Partey’s boots. He’s more similar to Rice really, two of the same will just mean more slow static buildup. We should look at Brighton’s Baleba, or Frenkie if there’s any chance of him being available.

It’s okay as long as they get a proper replacement, the value he brings to the team when fit is tremendous, he makes the team tick and can transition the buildup into the attack like no one else. I think we’ve seen last season Rice really can’t do the same things Partey does in buildup, as he is technically not near him. I’d like to see Baleba from Brighton, still young but really similar profile to Partey(great technically and calm under pressure). Besides him Frenkie but he’s unavailable probably.

For me, Zubimendi is NOT the answer, coz I've never seen him shine in any game!...Onana clearly has the perfect physical attributes which can compensate for Patey's loss, however, he is still far too raw & cumbersome for me! Wtf is this revisionism about Partey being injured at the end of last season. Lol he was not injured. After being shockingly bad against West Ham, Southampton and City, he was dropped by Arteta. Jorginho came in for the Chelsea game and Partey did not start again. It wasn't injury, he was dropped. He was on the bench for each of those games lol. He is also past it. He was poor against United and Everton and almost cost us goals. In fact his foul against Everton did cost us a goal. Jorginho is older but he still is very reliable and some of his best games in years this season like the ones at home against Liverpool and Newcastle when we really need him to perform.

We heard the same thing last summer. Partey is not leaving this summer, because even if Arsenal wanted to sell him, no club is bidding 30m+ for an over 30 DM with injury issues that has a year left on his contract. We will be lucky to see 10m even from the Arabs. What will happen is that Arsenal wont offer him a new contract, hence he will leave at the end of next season. Hopefully, his skill especially on the ball would have robbed off on Rice and Bruno Guimaraes or whoever is signed. Because he still makes some line breaking passes and dribbles on the ball that even Rodri n Tchoameni dont do yet. e.g when he came on vs City H, Bayern H, Wolves A Next season his minutes will be managed... probably reserved for the biggest games (e.g City,Madrid,Bayern,Barca) and just come on for the last 10/15mins of other games or if a defence is proving difficult to penetrate. He is going to be our equivalent of the current Modric for Madrid or even KDB for City in that sense.

I mentioned this last summer that he would be sold. Not a surprise. He is in demand, has some years left in the tank but injuries starting to pile up. Partey is a liability. I don't see why others rate him so much. He gives away the ball so so much. He also gives the ball away in positions that give the opposition goal scoring chances. Happy to see him go tbh.
