Southgate is a championship level manager, maybe even league one. But let's be real, everytime fans gas these players up like they are prime messi, r9, cr7, zizou...but what have they actually achieved to receive this praise. Everytime, same statements, "on paper, we have a squad that can actually beat anyone" and the moment england face a good opponent, they lose. Is that not on the players as well?? I know it's the biased show but it shouldn't be deluded. You can at least be professional and come with objective analysis and not just talk every player down and talk all Arsenal players up. Saka was definitely not the best English player. Palmer did much better in a lot fewer minutes but they only mention Foden. Objectively both Foden and Saka should've been out and Gordon + Palmer should've started on the wings. Also, Kane should not have played, it should've been Watkins. In the defense, Walker is done. People are so scared to say that Walker has been terrible the whole season both for City and England and they never blame him for anything even though he regularly makes defensive mistakes. Both goals yesterday came from Walker being out of position at RB, and if that was Trent the media and the fans would've killed him for it saying ''He CaN't DeFeNd''. And when are we going to have the talk about Rice, or will people in here keep riding him? He's been absolutely terrible this tournament and it's so clear that when Rice plays against other top teams, his poor technique really shows. He disappeared against Bayern and Man City for Arsenal this season, and he was basically outplayed by almost every team this tournament. He's abilities on the ball are very mediocre and it shows against other good midfielders. He's a good runner and a good tackler but he doesn't have the technical abilities to play with the ball at his feet unless it's just to make the simple pass but under pressure he's terrible with the ball at his feet cause he doesn't have the skills or the calmness to make a line breaking pass to get out of pressure.

There is a reason why the England team fail to win a tournament since 1966, despite having quality players, they always looks disjointed and like strangers on the pitch. The English youth system tends to emphasize the club playing system over a clear core principle across all levels, from grassroots all the way up. Take, for instance, Germany and Spain. In these countries, no matter which player is called up, they fit into the team seamlessly. As England is now seeing more technical players coming through, the FA needs to revamp the entire national system, focusing mainly on coaching

The best player for England was Rice. He had so much to do & did it well. He can't do it alone & there was no midfield stability which went against him. I think Cole Palmer was more dangerous than Saka whole tournament. His cameos were more fruitful than when Saka was on the pitch. I would start him over Saka
