It’s so easy to make this fake and funny accusation on people with no names. I’m a person that rates it above 5 but I’m not complaining about the amount of players. Even in the frontline where everyone is “moaning” about, we have at least 2 in each of the 3 front line positions. We have the best depth in our defense. In the world. No one has a better 7 in the world than we have in our defense. Apparently ppl are only happy if we have best in every position which is Very very unrealistic. We have at least 19 quality trustworthy outfielders so how are we short?

I understand AFTV is providing a service but has ultimately become a business. Robbie as the voice of the business needs to maintain a good standing with Arsenal FC, which probably helps getting access to the club and certain benefits. Robbie is an excellent spokesperson for Arsenal because that breakdown of why we couldn't get a Striker is genius...BUT...We had an entire window to sort out our business early for the Attacking department. The other argument that we could have is that if we have obtained all of this money for selling players (and clearing our wage bill) and I know it's received over the years but it still reflects as sales on the books, why then couldn't we take a portion of the money received from selling players and funds from our own pockets to meet the release clause for Viktor Gyo? The other thing is, We should have signed a young winger early to back up Saka and Martinelli since we know Trossard is not a high-pace player. You also had Joao Felix, Lois Openda, Solanke, and Santiago Gimenez as options to either back up Havertz or play ahead of him because Jésus is never fit enough. My observation is that Arsenal delayed all of these deals with the players we have now to suppress the call for an attacker and when they felt the heat towards the end because of Pundits, Fans and other Media they turned to Sterling like we did with Trossard, both very good players but they were not our preferred targets. Edu and this Ownership have only gotten Rice, Calafiori and Merino over the line as big moves recently...not one attacker that I can hold my hand up to has crossed that line since Auba left the club. City is our opponent in this race for a Trophy, Manchester City, if we don't take ourselves seriously we will never win this Title and other teams will catch up and beat us to the punch if we do not Win a major Trophy.

All those players you mentioned were never Arsenal targets except paper talk. City and Liverpool win every trophy at their peak. They just don't put their eggs in one basket. Arteta shouldn't either he has to win Cup competitions. He isn't guaranteed to win the league or CL. He better give these players a taste of Competition Victory. City are not the only competition for trophies. Arteta can't afford to have such arrogance whilst not challenging every competition we are in. He needs to win even the small trophies. @@damilareoyewole9597 so starting with the forwards: we don’t have a solid striker. Period. Havertz is not a ST and trossard seems to play better off the bench. Martinelli’s form has fallen off a cliff. Jesus is not reliable enough to be a bench winger for us let alone a striker. He’s injury prone. Saka doesn’t have anyone to replace him and impact as much as him. Nelson left on loan & sorry but sterling is washed now and way past his prime (hopefully he proves me wrong though). Odegaard has no replacement. When his form drops, our creativity on the field drops. One thing Jorginho does well is with his passing though so he’s good to come on for Odegaard but we lose our pace. Declan Rice has not been good since April. His red card was just icing on the cake. He got cooked against Villa last season and again this season despite us winning that game. Partey is injury-prone. Shame because he’s class on his day which is often but we don’t have anyone to come off the bench and play his role too. Jorginho is a passing poacher and not a CDM. Merino is solid, however he’s already injury prone and I hope he comes back from this and stays consistent all season. His presence is good depth for both partey and Rice. For our defence, this is our strongest area. We play with 4 CB’s at the back so our defence is interchangeable which is clearly artetas plan for the past few years, converting White from CB and Calafiori and timber as well. Our fullbacks play inverted well which is good support for our wingers. However timber is a natural RB not a LB, just from the eye test you can tell his awareness dropped on the left when our CB’s aren’t as coordinated. Despite the red card, we conceded that goal against Brighton because Gabriel was caught sleeping and all it took was a 50 yard pass through the middle to break our line. I like Tomiyasu and he brings good depth to our fullbacks however he doesn’t play inverted well so when he’s one we lose the good passes that White gives. If Saliba or Gabriel gets injured again, I hope Calafiori can do well at CB. In general, our transfer window was terrible. We didn’t get a solid striker, Merino is already out, Sterling is past his prime so I don’t see why we would look to him as the missing piece to stop man city from winning it all, & Calafiori is far from his prime so his true impact will come a few years from now and not this season where we need it the most (we’re about to hit a 5 year trophy drought this year if we don’t win anything). @@markoh2999 havertz is not a striker but has the 3rd most goal contributions since he was moved to striker and Jesus is a great bench player much less likely to get injured being a bench player and we have 5 great midfielders + nwaneri and zinchenko and timber have played cm many times and done well there and just because merino has one injury doesnt make him injury prone thats not how it works thats like calling Haaland de Bruyne both injury prone. and sterling is better than Martinelli and trossard starting comfortably even if he is past his prime so our attack will be solid as well as midfield which is probably the main concern but thats only because we have two starting quality players out.

My problem with the transfer window is that we did not improve the starting 11 at all except the injured(for at least 2 months) Merino. We were 2 points behind a City side who had KDB injured for 17 games and haaland for 7. All we needed was for someone who can finish the chances we get. In the Brighton game Saka and Havertz had golden chances yet we couldn't end the game. Blame the ref all you want, we should have still won the game with 10 men, these are the types of games we lost so many points on last season and I don't want a repeat of that.

For me, we are still woefully short of a clinical striker >> someone to compete fiercely with Havertz, and thus give us the necessary potency both on the field, and on the bench to handle any match situation...especially given Jesus' ever increasing unavailability because of injury! Also..having sold ESR, and sent Viera out on loan, we no longer have cover for Odegaard...so if he was to be sidelined for any significant length of time through injury we would be in a fair bit of bother! 😙

If on the other hand you would prefer someone who is Top 5 European League proven, there is of course Victor Osimhen, and in terms of being Premier League proven...there is Alexander Isak.

I feel we are one player light. Striker. I would gave got Santiago Jimenez for 30m. Get something slighty diff at the sharp end. You can just imagine one knock to Havetz... Msybe Jesus gets fit n starts to find his scoring laces, maybe not Its all about risk mitigation. The two positions/influence players we carry risk most is Havetz & Odegaard. Arguably with Odegaaed, maybe we can trial Zinchenko higher up in the number 8 slot. But Arteta did not do this pre-season so maybe he doesnt think this is tenable, Merino could be the cover (Now 2 months out) I think we coukd have done a bit more business with the striker.

If you're going to talk about decisions that have gone FOR other teams, you should also talk about decisions that have gone AGAINST other teams. I understand the frustration, but this is not specific to Arsenal. It's a much bigger issue with lack of consistency interpreting and implementing the rules.
