I started listening to Analord around December 2021, when I was 15. This song was one of the ones in particular that stood out to me, and I had already listened to part of it before in a meme posted on Reddit. Two months later, I fell in love with someone, and I showed him this song. I told him how much it reminded me of him, and we would listen to it together or separately from time to time. It was wistfully beautiful. Pretty recently, about a month ago, he stopped talking to me, and to be honest, things have never been the same for over a year. I still miss him a lot sometimes, and I can't help but cry just a bit when I listen to this, or 19 bradley echoes (another song by Aphex Twin), as both remind me of how much I loved him. I find that electronic music is much more beautiful in several aspects, because the appreciation of it can be strengthened so much by personal memories that you gain with the songs. Perhaps it is just me, but I get that kind of thing a lot with Aphex Twin, and lots of other electronic artists like Autechre who also make electronic music. I have limitless appreciation for Richard's work, and especially this song in particular as it serves as one of the most memorable songs, if not the most memorable and emotionally empowered, simply because of the memories I have that are intertwined with it. Thank you to whoever took their time reading this, and perhaps you may also have your own beautiful experiences associated with Richard's arguably endless catalogue.

Richard has a song for basically any kind of mood under the Sun. Not just because he has an insanely large catalogue, with probably only a minor portion of it actually being available to the public, but also because he has always had an incredibly personal approach to composition, even though it might not always seem that way. His songs were and still are not only danceable, but tell stories and evoke images, which is something mainstream electronic and dance music did not commonly do back when he first began his career. With every silly squelch, voice sample or other noise in his music, an aspect of his personality always revealed itself, whether that be his cheeky, prankster nature or his deeper, emotional side. I believe that the reason Aphex continues to attract listeners is because there is something innately human in the way he creates music and makes it sound, despite him doing everything through electronic means. I don't know whether Richard would call me a pretentious hack or not for saying what I just said, but I do believe in it, and I am happy to know that the humanity of Richard's music resonates with you as much as it does for me. No matter what Richard would think of me, you associating his music with meaningful moments of your life would be something that I know for sure he would greatly appreciate :)

I love it, how he composes it layers by layers, adding complexity coherently, I thought that he was asking himself questions in this music and answering himself too, asking, answering, you can think of any questions and answers. This is really beautiful, especially when you are sensitive to the sound and variations of the "logical' rhythm.

I like this track, it's melancholic as all hell but the way it progresses and layers over and over just works so nice... it's almost like an argument I think, like the track is arguing with itself then it makes its point and settles down. How come more artists can't write a track that has a tangible personality like afx can.
