AFX Super International Race Track Box Opening & Review

I just got this set yesterday, I ordered it like 6 months ago, after looking it over I have found a problem, the inside 2 lanes power track is separate from the outside 2 lanes, this means one of two things, I have to cross over the inner tracks power/controls over the top of the outside 2 lanes or drill a big enough hole that the power cable, and 2 controllers will feed through from under the track, which is what I will do. AFX could have solved this problem for us by making one 4 lane piece of track with all of the power and controllers on the outside, however this would have cost them a little more, so they left us to figure it out and deal with it on our own, as it is not very conducive to run right out of the box without crossing over the top or drilling and running the inside track from underneath. Thankfully I am much older and have had experience in doing things like this, so drilling the hole and feeding the inside 2 lanes from underneath is not going to be a problem, but how many kids have gotten this same set or one like it and did not have anyone to fix this issue so they had to run it with the power cord and controllers crossing over the top?

Thx for posting this. I can not understand why AFX has not gone to wireless controllers. They are late to the game on this one. I was also surprised on the number of track variations. I thought More variations would have been better. Auto world Victory 400 is a better four lane deal. The cars not so much. Afx is still a quality set but they need to step up their game for 2024 and beyond.

What do you think of the controller wire lengths? I noticed the guy on the inside track holding his arm up so the wire doesn't drag on the track. How much total track is there. I'm trying to compare it to the Giant Raceway set by AFX. Looks like it has more different radius turns than the Giant plus four cars instead of two and two power packs and four controllers and two terminals, halve that for the Giant. Now that's a review.

Controller lengths are standard to most tracks and yes they could be longer I would say.

Every review if this 4 lane track always runs only one or 2 cars at a time. We want to see all 4 cars! How do tyco cars work on the track?

That’s a nice track what size table do I need to run the track on the front cover.

It shows all sizes on the back of the box depends what track you pick.
