The Blood knot is stronger than the Uni because there's less stress. This Three turn half hitched knot with a Uni finish is brilliant. Thanks for showing.

Hey man, I'm quaritining at home recovering from the CV. It brings me great joy just spending time viewing a lot of your videos. I especially like the unique catching of the sailfish in Grenada. Thanks so much especially for the sustainable fishing that you guys do. Striped bass fishing season is open here but unfortunately...... Have fun and best regards to you and the crew. Tight lines....

When you started laughing I had to laugh too. I hope I can tie that knot without it crossing over itself. I just heard of that know this morning and I’m going to give it a try soon.

I have similar feelings .. I lost a 30+kg cobia fighting it from shore for more than 40 mins and at last when it surfaced I lost it due to my uni knot slipping.. later I researched and found this amazing knot.. cheers🤙🏻🤙🏻

Wasson Brett? I have always used the uni knot and its never failed me once. But I like the "shock absorber" theory
@BrettThompsonfishing4 жыл бұрын
Nicholas Sansone the uni is good. I use that very often to. Also, all knots fail... you’re just not pulling hard enough lol 😂
@redtobertshateshandles2 ай бұрын
Great theory. I always wondered why the Blood knot could slip in fine mono, but was stronger than the Uni. Now I know.

Great vid mate. Good opportunity during this pandemic to do more knot and rigging vids, like the plaited double, Bimini Twist, Cairns Quickie, etc?

Good vid bro. Maybe try a black table or black background when doing knot vids. It'll be a lot easier to see the process.

Little constructive criticism here... Try that just after being spooled by a Yellowfin tuna in 4ft seas !!.... Check out figure 8 knot then catpaw knot to the swivel.....bullet proof.... Bless pardie... Much respects.
@BrettThompsonfishing4 жыл бұрын
Rudolph Murray I’ve never personally had too much issues tying knots in rough water though it does get more challenging but I get what you’re saying. Without doubt they’re simpler, easier knots to tie, which is good knowledge to have in the scenario you describe. I’m familiar with the figure 8 and catspaw. Good knot but my experience gives this AG chain the edge. We all have personal preferences and I’m not taking anything away from you. The goal is to always look for ways to improve one’s discipline (in this case fishing) so I appreciate the suggestions and look forward to any advice you or anyone else has to share. Cheers bud 🍻
