These things are incredible! I don't understand why they are not everywhere in the US! Why am I just now learning about these things?!?

The "classic" AGA cookers are okay in northern states, but it much of the USA they'd be a nightmare, especially in the summer. Cast iron radiant-heat cookers will overheat the whole kitchen, and even the whole house, compared to a standard stove and oven. Not being able to adjust the temperatures of the ovens and cooking plates is also not as good as modern adjustable stoves and ovens. They made sense in Britain in the 1930s, when tending to the conventional stoves of the time was a lot of work, but today they're an energy-wasting anachronism desirable only for the sake of nostalgia. The fact that they cost $15,000 or more also has something to do with it.

Just future growth suggestion...s many people are happy with traditional ovens through 1918 Spanish Flu and all the other low world energy times. Think post covid...Aga could do a model with no cooktop...and raise the ovens to sit at countertop level for at least the roaster and slow cooker. That is a pain for people with health issues to bend to basically ground level to pull out a baking temperature dish. 🔥❤ Love idea of cast iron radiant cooking. My choice today is a shorter in height fire box with nice width for logs so can do smaller fires for summer grilling. Normal duo plate and oven configuration. I used to sit at an electric oven (while cooking)drinking from cast iron tea kettle watching videos from a kitchen tablet. Maybe if in spirit could talk to Swedish inventor...he'd be flexible to introduce a cooker for people who sit in kitchens. Also like idea of second pillar like cooker with firebox and oven over it. So having an oven directly over heat allows 700F at bottom of oven, great pizza temperature on a stone. Also gives off some more heat so 2 woodstoves combined can heat 260 cubic meters or 1200 square feet. The pillar woodstove also helps cut chill if use traditional fireplace with smoke drawing from dying fire. 🕊💐🐟🌅
