@@EEEEEEtwothousand In his early videos (like, super old ones, among the first in the channel), he tends to make this mistake where his computer's sound would be loud enough to be caught on the mic, causing an echo in the recording. He usually notices this mid-video and leans down to turn the computer volume down while saying "Sorry about that". This happened surprisingly often and the commenters of his videos at that time joked about how it's pretty much a meme at that point. So, while it does seem that he doesn't make the mistake now (you can clearly hear that his recordings are more than fine), he acknowledges that it's a meme and he's saying "Sorry about that" while pretending to adjust the volume for the sake of it. I believe that Dubov was extremely assertive in this game and holds a never-give-up mind, somehow it helped him to accidentally played the "nasty engine line" right after his blunder and Magnus couldn't handle such madness.

No offense, but it sounds like you weren't paying attention to the games themselves - here Dubov hung a piece and won because magnus missed a mate in time pressure. Compare it to Carlsen's wins where he slowly outplays his opponents and never lets go of his advantage. And ok, it was a rapid game, but I wouldn't call such a back and forth game "crushing".
@yevgenydodzin98494 жыл бұрын
I say this because if you watch Mikhail tals games he confuses opponents and they blunder and this is exactly what happened. Yes he blundered a piece but he got the initiative instead and that is in the style of Mikhail tal

That was a beautiful blunder. The thumbnail position really set the pace after this, as Dubov was able to take advantage of the position of Carlsen's King and Rook. Carlsen was unable to develop his pieces in time to use his 1 up advantage. !@#$%$#!! is definitely what Magnus was saying to himself.

After the match, Dubov literally said he doesn't care about winning the tournament.... What a BOSS. He just want to play the most creative, entertaining chess. I don't know if he will be a world champion in the future but he won people's heart already and became people's champion with his creative attacking style.....
@pathutchison76884 жыл бұрын
playing aggressively for y is how Dubov plays chess in general. Regardless of the outcome, i think he is smart not to change. people who actively play forc draws find themselves dead lost much of the times, and i think that would especially be true for a player the likes of Dubov, whose strength is in his creativity and active play. if hes not playing to win and not creating problems for his opponent to have to worry about, his chances are probably not very good, especially when playing an amazing tactician like Magnus. He will just slowly wear you down and then grind you to dust when the endgame is reached. we all know that Carlsen can win endgames from losing positions. So if he is equal or better at that point, you're probably doomed.
