In 5:10, I prefer the line with greater entropy: pawn g4 and when the queen moves, you can trap the bishop, capture it and mess up the fortress of the king and then after that you can check the king with your rook then queen to h5 for the mating line.

😂😂 Good point.I think chess24 doesn't want 2 Azerbaijanis in the same tournament, because they are afraid of speculations in the tournament.I can't understand this behaviour.There are multiple Americans,Russians in the tournaments.they should invite Shakh also.As an Azerbaijani i want to see both top players of Azerbaijan in the same tournament.I wish they will invite Mammadyarov.

I think a lot of people who are new to chess need a reality check that Hikaru and Magnus aren't the only good players around, the competition is tight at this level and anyone can win depending on the form they show.

I have a ton of respect for Dubov. A lot of players would have done the safe thing and gone for the draw... but Dubov came to play chess and I'm so glad that endgame fight is available for us all to enjoy!

15:45 you can't play queen to e5 as Nf6 check results in mate for white. So trading queen is the way to go.

5:46 you could also win the bishop hy playing g4 attacking the queen and once the queen has been moved you advance the pawn to g5 trapping the bishop. Of course you lose a pawn but you also create the semi open file for your rook. Is it a bad idea (it's the first thing I spotted)?
