Tal was only 17 y.o. youngster back then, Keres already experienced master who battled and beat Capablanca, Alechine, Botvinnik, all great world chess stars . Tal certainly will play stronger on later years, but Keres somehow was immune to his sacs and tricks. Their H2H favors Keres 8 wins vs 5 wins , with 17 draws. But Tal of course won World Champion title which Keres never did, so his career was more brilliant . It is worth to mention that Keres himself loved flashy attacking style in his youth, but later became more cautious and solid understanding that it brings more success. If tournament situation required draws, Keres drawed very fast , like he did in AVRO 1938 and Curacao 1962 Candidates , where he drawed all 8 games against Geller and Petrosjan . Fischer was very upset about it and accused Soviet players of draw pact which saved them energy . . It was never proven, but World Championship cycle was changed because of it and later they played candidate matches, quarterfinals, semifinals etc.

Loved these two games... I am kinda new in this community and i have learned a lot of things from your channel, and loving the legends like Rashid and Tal is just one of them. Is kinda hard to watch games like this, where beasts like them get tamed by more defensive players, but that Petrosian smile is lovely too! Chess is awesome, and gets even better when is played at this level. Thank you, agadmator, for showing this beauty in your own particular and incredible style!

You are 100% better than any other chess KZbin (I can't claim this for your skill but I can claim for your commentary since it goes over everything, including the openings, why they made a certain move, their scores and if it was a tournament or just a friendly game or even a bet).
