I got into chess just recently and almost immediately started watching your videos too. Now, whenever I play chess and analyze my moves it's your voice in my head which is really weird, considering that I'm german and don't think in english. But so far I got successively better and better so there's that

It's amazing how in Chess one tiny detail that seemingly makes very little difference dictates which side is winning. Even some of the best ever can make a move that isn't necessarily mistake, but just simply isn't good enough and their opponent can capitalize.

Oh God, I feel like living through the actual match in 1960, with new game every day or so. It's amazing! One small request - maybe you could try in your commentary to not give away who will win this game? I really enjoy the suspense of not knowing and trying to guess how the position will play out in the end. :) First time commenting your channel, but really loving it since Christmas or so - even started playing my own chess online, around 1450 in 10 minute rapids now. :)

@HorukAI6 жыл бұрын
J Sin - there are lot of reasons not to - because elo rating were not officially calculated prior to 1970. Second they are not comparable through the history, and the last is the availability of data in any given moment when the games were played. www.chessmetrics.com/cm/CM2/HistoricalRatings.asp

I love this series so much, can't wait for game 9. I'd also really enjoy you going through other world championship matches just like this. #suggestion Maybe you could do a series in chronological order of the championship title changing hands from the first champion up to Carlsen as kind of a lead up to the winner of this year's candidates winner vs Carlsen. Thanks Agad, you've got the best chess content on KZbin

One more thing to add: if black tries to get his king to g7-f8-e8 to help, white will push h-pawn and black cannot stop it (if he goes on to capture knight).
